After our previous Beautyrest mattress failed, we got the black in series 3, firm. My husband and I bought it about 3-4 months ago. Long story short, it failed. There are two dents in the bed from us. Had the inspector come today and confirm the mattress had failed. It also is advertised as "firm", but is a "medium". Even as a medium, there should not be two big dents in the bed now. Beautyrest quality has drastically declined, and the beds are mostly stuffed with soft garbage, it seems. We are done with this brand. This is sad, because it once was a coveted mattress brand. Now they just produce trash that fails. We will be going to a private and local mattress company. Will be getting a simple, no frills mattress. Zero padding and definitely no pillow top. A firm, old-fashioned mattress is the best. I thought this bed would be it, but I should have known it had too much padding. I would definitely consider an old Beautyrest model, if still sold as new. Note: we are average weight people, and the bed looks like two cows slept in it. He is 6+ft/200, I am 5'4/125.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Beautyrest Black mattress is a beautifully made high quality mattress. The medium support mattress is designed to have just the right amount of pressure relief. The top feels very soft and plush. However, in my experience even though it’s medium support with a soft feeling top, it still feels a bit too firm for me while I sleep. I usually sleep on a mattress with a pillowtop so I’m probably used to the extra plushness. The top also has large indentations that are too wide and deep. When I’m moving around I can feel the indentations with my feet. It’s kind of annoying. Maybe it’s just me. Otherwise it is a very nice, quality mattress. I think this mattress would be perfect for someone that wants medium support but doesn’t require the extra plushness on top.

Having slept for a year on a bed in a box foam and inner spring mattress and it being much too firm, we exchanged it for the Beautyrest Black Series 3 Medium, no pillow top, just tight top. We have slept so well and comfortably since the first night. Great decision! It’s also easy to change positions at night and I do flip from side to side often. I also find the 17” mattress we had was too thick and too heavy to change sheets or get into bed as I am short. So happy with the new mattress, highly recommend it!

We did not want to get this mattress. We were hoping that we could find one for less money. But, after testing this mattress compared to every other one, including some that were twice as expensive, there was just nothing that compared. And, because we are getting older, and our bodies are impacted for the entire day based on how we sleep, we felt it was worth it if we could get better rest, and not be sore in the morning. We had a firm Sealy Posturepedic, and are sidesleepers, and it seems we both needed something softer, but not plush. This is the PERFECT balance. If every night is like the last two, this is going to be amazing, and well worth the money!

I first laid on this display of the Beautyrest Black Series 3 Plush probably a year and a half ago. And the poor sales guy was very professional but he knew each time I always ended up on it saying one day I'll get one. We'll I finally did. No I'm a disabled vet and work oil rigs. I beat my body up on a constant basis. And slept on the couch alot when I got home. I was used to rolling out of bed and waiting to stop hurting to stand up and figure out what else will hurt the rest of the day. The cooling abilities to body alignment to form hugging comfort make this a Number 1 in my book. Thank you Beautyrest for blessing us all with such a wonderful product.

This bed is called the Plush Pillow Top and for a good reason. The first night I slept in this bed, I called my best friend to tell her I was sleeping on a cloud. Absolutely the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. My old mattress used to slide all over the place and I was constantly shoving it back into place. This mattress is heavy and doesn't budge! I can't even begin to express how lucky I am for being gifted this mattress. Do I recommend it? A million times YES!!!!

This is a biggggg mattress and heavy, I'm gonna need a step ladder to my bed now this mattress has so many different layers inside, must be why it's so comfortable, sleeping on it is like sleeping on clouds, I'm a side sleeper and this mattress is perfect. This mattress sleeps like luxury hotel beds, and it's so beautiful and elegant, I love the dark color it is. The quality of this mattress is beyond belief,and the comfort is uncomparable!! I reccomend everyone run out now and get one, you all don't know what your missing!!

Overall, the mattress is designed with premium materials that are both durable and comfortable. The downside is the sizing as it feels much smaller than anticipated. For example, my husband and I have owned a queen bed for years which was plenty of space for us. However, the mattress, listed as a Queen size, is noticeably smaller in width than what I'm used to. It feels more along the sizing of a twin XL, so I would recommend sizing up.

Purchased the Beauty rest black and foundation.We were given a delivery window of 7:30 am-11:30 am. I set my alarm..At 6:10 am we get a call the delivery is on it's way. ( I didn't even wake up) Soon after the delivery arrived (way before the window.)and what to my sleepy eyes see? Just the box springs! So you arrived at my hoiuse at 6am something with no Mattress???? I had to fight through numbers that weren't answered, live chat that wont work, oh and the Beautyrest help office doesn't open till 10am, imagine that. Now I am again waiting for the mattress, which wont arrive for a few more days.I guess we'll sleep on the box springs tonight. Worst worst worst delivery experience ever. Beauty rest should be ashamed. Terrible, Terrible Terrible!
