I like keeping these Dole Pineapple Chunks on hand because they make a great snack and they are great add in to different recipes. They taste good and are not overly sweet. The texture is close to the fresh version without the messy cleanup. I like that the can has a flip top so it is easy to open and I do not have to worry about getting out the can opener. I like eating them frozen because it's like having an icy treat without the sugar or extra calories. I recommend giving them a try.

Bought a can of Pineapple Chunks in 100% Pineapple Juice (Gold), and the pineapple inside was hard and bitter. This is the second Gold can like this. I switched over to the chunks from the sliced because I was having to cut the centers out of the slices (for the same problem - hard, inedible pineapple in the middle). Can says product of the Philippines. Is there a variety I can buy that does not have this issue?
