OK oranges

These oranges are OK, but not great. Hard to peel.

Bad growers %26 bad Sam's buyers

As a native Californian, I've been eating California navel oranges since before they had navels. The skins on these were so thick! Doesn't anyone at Sam's know how to pick thin-skinned fruit?? I weighed a few. The oranges are big - almost 500 g, but the skin was over 170 g worth. Meaning a third of it is skin. Certainly an orange is going to have some skin but being generous it should have a third of what I peeled. Let's say 60 g just for round numbers. That would be 12%, or around 1/8 skin rather than 1/3. If you look at the price of the actual fruit for the different thicknesses, the price is 1/3 higher, or $1.30 for these, but it should have been only $1.12. That's 18 cents you throw away for every orange, or (my bag had 9) $1.62 a bag. You probably could have gotten an extra orange. They were also kind of dry. The combination is a nutrient imbalance. GET A BETTER GROWER!! It's not like they are lacking in California.

My oranges are the color of orange

Good oranges stay fresh for quite some time before some of them started turning moldy big bag
