1 week later...I hate it !
It's been 1 week, and I don't like it.....at all I bought it in a club, and it clearly says "hybrid" on the box. But when I read all the reviews saying they didn't get an hybrid mattress, I think I'm in the same situation... It's like sleeping on a massive block of foam. It's supposed to be a medium comfort, but I find it extremely firm (I'm 240Lbs and barely sink into it). And there is no support on the edge of the mattress We have another hybrid mattress (from Serta) and the difference is huge. I wake up with pain in the lower back/hips !!! So very disappointed, will most likely return it
Ghosts in the Family
After a couple of weeks, this wonderful hybrid king size bed is a keeper for us. A solid and comfortable bed, our first from Ghost Bed, it’s worth every penny. It replaced an all-memory foam, boxed other brand king that was too soft, hot, hard to move around in or get out of, and with no edge support. This Ghost hybrid bed is none of those things! We are both sleeping much better even with some back, hip and snoring issues. We are happy with it but do suggest getting help, or use the service to set it up. The mattress is really heavy - be prepared! The set-up service fee was a stretch for us so we tried to manage it ourselves, but it was a big struggle for two seniors. Nevertheless, we love our bed. Our son and daughter-in-law are Classic Ghost bed fans with three of them, so ours is the fourth Ghost now in the family.
Bad back
I bought this bed due to failed back surgery.I think the bed is very firm but I added a pillow topper/protector and think it's perfect now When my husband and I go away we are always happy to get back home to our bed. We have had it for about 8yrs and it's still like new. We don't rotate but should. We also had the pillows which where to soft
Can't Do Without
I received my first Ghost Bed around a decade ago as a Christmas gift from my mother. I convinced her to invest in a hybrid mattress to help prevent waking up each morning with both arms stiff and fingers locked into claws that throbbed with painful. pins-and-needles due to worsening degenerative disc disease affecting my cervical spine. Within days of switching mattresses I was no longer experiencing painful, debilitating symptoms for hours after waking. Not only did it offer enough support to help prevent harmful sleep positions, there was plenty of give, allowing the mattress to gently shape to my curves. I fell in love immediately. When I had to leave an abusive marriage in 2023, I had somewhere safe to go and help to move there, but not the kind of help that could transport a hybrid King Ghost Bed that had already been in place for years by that point. At the same time, I knew that I couldn't sleep on just *any* mattress or I risked going back to losing hours of each day before my arms were functional. After a lot of agonizing over the decision, I ordered another mattress - the Flex Hybrid - and had it delivered to the new place. I was anxious that I wouldn't like it as much as my previous mattress, but now, after about two years of use, 100 pounds lost, and partners come and gone and then come again, I can report that I like the Flex Hybrid as much, if not more than, my previous GhostBed. Both my partner and I are multiply disabled: both AuDHD (I am hyper-sensitive to both touch and temperature, which is one of the reasons I chose a cooling mattres. No regrets!), them with a previously broken back, a leg that's got a nasty spiral break, and chronic pain of all sorts, me with degenerative disk disease, herniated disks, fibromyalgia, unable to lay on either hip for an extended length of time, narcolepsy type 2, night terrors, sleep apnea, and on and on. We both feel like the Flex has improved our average daily pain levels and helped us to feel marginally more rested than other mattresses we've had, and we've both gone through a list of expensive mattresses in our lifetimes. I don't foresee going back now that I've tried a hybrid mattress. The only major drawback that I can think of is that they are heavy and - if you're talking a King mattress - extremely unweildy. Once unrolled and fully pluffed up, expect to need several sturdy people to move it again. Even given that, I'd still choose another GhostBed.
Simply the best
I will just say it was the best decision I made in regards to a mattress. I was sleeping on a mattress that was over 20 years old. I was getting by on 5-6 hours sleep, I now sleep a solid 8 hours a nite.Do yourself and your health a favor and buy a ghost bed.
Ghost bed signature hybrid-queen
I ordered the mattress several weeks in advance to time it with my move to a new place for Sept 8-10th. The bed was delayed twice and arrived on the 15th which left me several days without a bed. I find the bed harder then I thought it would be and do not feel it adequately has a cooling affect despite using bamboo sheets. I have had a previous Ghost bed and used their sheets which I didn’t find cooling that is why I tried other sheets. My husband who does not sleep hot and likes a harder mattress does love this bed.
Does Not Work For Me
I have slept on this mattress for three nights and it has not been a good experience. When I go to bed my back is fine and when I wake up I can hardly move. Upon waking my back is stiff and painful. After a couple of hours I am back to normal. Also, while lying on the mattress I can feel the adjustable bed frame in the middle section. I plan to return the mattresses but do not know what kind of issues I will have while trying to make a return. In addition to the return issue, I now have no idea what type of mattress to buy. Our last Serta hybrid mattress only lasted 5 years before it started to cause back pain.
Love love love
This is my third ghost bed and this latest model is the best! I love how firm it is yet it hugs me and I’m not tossing and turning. I tried another brand of bed in a box and after only a year, it was sagging and my back was hurting. I’m so happy to come back to ghost bed.
Quite Soft
Bought this mattress (the elite version ships) from Sam's Club and it seems to be good quality. it IS worth noting that what you get from Ghostbed is NOT medium firmness, it is quite soft. I tried to love it but in the end had to ask for a return due to how soft it was. I weigh 250lbs at 6 feet tall and I was 6" into it in minutes and trying to roll over or get out of bed meant a core workout. Quality is good, just description is very accurate. There isn't any edge support due to it being so soft, but that's a soft mattress for you. Shipping was good, return was excellent, (Thanks Sams's Club!). Would buy if i wanted a very soft/plush mattress.
Sent wrong item
I got a terrible memory foam mattress not the hybrid that I ordered
