We ended up with the hybrid luxe adapt after exchanging the firm (which was too firm). Unfortunately there is no medium without springs in this model and we found the soft to be too marshmallow- like. I find the hybrid comfortable enough but miss the feeling of a fully memory foam tempurpedic. It's essentially a spring mattress with less than 5 inches of memory foam on top. Comfortable enough but not ideal

I've always had great experiences with Tempurpedic but I will say this bed is for very specific people. I had a back injury a year and a half ago and I didn't feel the mattress I'd been using over the last year had enough support so I purchased this one. I have always loved very firm beds and assumed it would give the best support for my back. I was wrong. It was too firm and upon some research I found that this would be a good bed for someone much heavier than me with less joint problems. If you have any type of back, shoulder or hip issues this firm mattress is not for you. I loved the firmness but after just a week I woke up in pain every day. I'm switching to a medium hybrid.

We were very excited about the cooling that the luxe adapt had when we tried it In The store but when we got it delivered and put the mattress protector on we couldn't feel any cooling whatsoever so we took the protector off and just slept with the fitted sheet over the mattress but still could not feel the cooling affect. Very very disappointed that we spent so much on this mattress that touted cooling and we don't get that at all. My fitness watch tracks my body temperature at night and there has been no difference with the luxe adapt which is supposed to allow you to sleep 5 degrees cooler. So while the bed is comfortable I would no way spend the amount of money we did when there are plenty of good memory foam beds out there for less.

While the mattress is comfortable, I am going to trade the soft for a firm because the soft sinks too much under my 240 pound body. I probably sink into the mattress 8 inches and this leaves my hips and pelvis out of alignment with my spine and has resulted in back pain. Hopefully the firm will be more supportive. It's hard to strike a balance because my wife is 120 pounds and the only options are firm or soft. Wish there was a medium.

Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

Our old mattress was 17 years old. My heels would hurt if I laid on my back because I have heel spurs. My hips would hurt if I laid on either side for very long, so I was constantly waking up in pain. I was having to change position in the bed when I would wake up in pain from side to side to back. I would wake up tired and in pain! My husband has back pain. He could not find any position on our bed to be comfortable. Since we have gotten our new TEMPURE-LuxeAdapt Soft mattress, we have both been sleeping better. I still have some pain, but nothing like it was before we got our new mattress. We love our new mattress!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this mattress for a month but so far my aches, especially lower back, have disappeared! I'm loving this product and would definitely recommend it. My only issue now is that my sheets are constantly falling off b/c the mattress is so thick:-) But that's an easy fix.

Being an indecisive person, this was a difficult decision. We originally purchased the Pro Adapt Medium and after sleeping on it a couple of months it was just too hard. I am mostly a side sleeper with back/neck problems. In the store we layed on the Luxe Adapt Soft and liked it but, was not ready to pay the cost. I decided to go ahead and exchage, pay the difference and get the Luxe Adapt Soft. I liked it but after a couple of months I just wasn't "sold" on the cost difference. Maybe some buyers remorse had set in. We actually exchanged again and went to a more traditional inner spring mattress from a well known brand. (not Tempru-Pedic) After sleeping on that mattress for a couple of months, I could really tell the difference in the level of comfort and support. Again, we made the exchange back to the Luxe Adapt Soft and haven't looked back! The only disappointing issue was that when the mattress was delivered, there were a few snags in the top cover that I had to trim off. I feel like when you're paying this much for a mattress you should not have to do this. Other than that, I'm happy with the purchase.

We love this mattress. Even if you wake up in the middle of the night you aren't awake long. Takes all the pressure off my shoulders, hips and back. We are side and back sleepers and it is very comfortable. No break in time. Really glad we purchased this mattress.

Have Luxe medium hybrid. As others have said is firmer than one in store but still feels great. Hope it softens up slightly over time. Got the level base but any base should work and can get similar, now that I see it, for a cheaper price. The mattress is well made and very heavy. I removed tag before set up so I now have easy access to serial number. Goal is better sleep and help with lower back pain.
