We originally had the original Rhapsody back in 2011 with the 25 year warranty. It was extremely firm and we started having shoulder issues as it was not made for "side sleepers." We gave it to some family members and bought the luxe adapt soft. It's amazing! It was firm for the first 3 weeks, but its perfect now. Absolutely love this decision. Doesn't sleep hot or cold and it's way lighter then the old bed. Just sucks they did away with 25 year warranty.

After 15 years our original Tempurpedic had developed a bit (just tiny but still..) of a dip. It was no longer providing the support we knew was possible. Purchased this new one, went for the top of the line, and only wish we had done so a few years ago. Everything you read about it is true (the good stuff, that is). Well worth the money.

We purchased this bed and were very excited about it! It was definitely very firm the first month, but we waited for it to break in as recommended by Tempurpedic. Then, before the return window we went into store to ask about it and they said it takes 1-2 years to break in. We decided it keep the firm mattress and a year in it's still very hard. We've reached out to tempurpedic and they recommend turning up the thermostat (we are already in the recommended range) or buying a mattress topper, but the mattress is already 13in and sheets barely fit. Plus we spent a lot of money on this to purchase more accessories. Overall, I would say the mattress doesn't break in, so if it's too firm at the beginning for you, it's not going to change, and I feel the tempurpedic sales people were just trying to get us to buy the most expensive mattress and keep it vs one that worked for us.

First of all, let me start by saying how grateful and lucky I feel to be able to try out a mattress such as this one. I have always dreamed of one day owning one but could never quite afford it. Having poor blood circulation, RLS, and chronic lower back pain makes life hard, especially getting a good night's rest. I'm a firm believer that it is crucial to get enough sleep to function and live a healthy, active life. I always tossed and turned, and could never find a soft enough mattress to adapt to the high arch in my back and allow me to rest on my back for very long. My legs would go numb and throb to the point I would have to get up and walk around for awhile. This mattress truly came at a time in my life where I didn't even realize how much I needed this. The moment I first laid in it, I felt so much relief that I cannot even put into words. I had chills and truly felt like the weight had been lifted off of me. The way in which this mattress adapts and conforms to your body, is unlike any other. It fits like a glove. To be thoroughly honest, if you are like me and are desperate for something that will give you some much needed pressure relief after being on your feet all day, you will not be disappointed. I highly encourage you to invest in a mattress that will adapt to YOU! It is a decision you will wish you made alot sooner. I am forever grateful and soooo excited to get into bed every night!! Have Luxe medium hybrid. As others have said is firmer than one in store but still feels great. Hope it softens up slightly over time. Got the level base but any base should work and can get similar, now that I see it, for a cheaper price. The mattress is well made and very heavy. I removed tag before set up so I now have easy access to serial number. Goal is better sleep and help with lower back pain.

Completely uncomfortable! My arms go numb every night in this bed. And it's sagging ALREADY after about 2 months. Husband and I are both MISERABLE. We slept 100% better on our old cheap mattress. I wake up between 4-5am every day bc I'm so uncomfortable. The company has been a nightmare to deal with. Buy this overpriced mattress at your own risk.

The feel of the mattress is great for sleeping. Getting into the bed can feel like a bit of a safety issue because of the "no edge" feel to the mattress. As we are older, the squishy edge can put you a little off balance as you try to go from sitting to lying down and scooting over to sleeping position.

When we first got our TP Luxe-adapt in soft, we absolutely did not like it!! For something that's supposed to be soft, it was like sleeping on concrete!! We were ready to return it! But we did like we heard and slept on it for a while and finally after around a month, something changed and I loved it. I read where it has to go through a break in period and something about the cells needing to open up. I guess that's the case! My husband says it's still hard to him but that it's better. Unfortunately he is still having trouble falling asleep on it. Not me though!! My brother has had a TP for 10 years and they love it so we decided to give it a try. LOTS of money, but hopefully will keep us from having to purchase a new bed every 5-7 years. We did not get the adjustable base. Just too expensive for us!! But would have considered if more affordable.
