It took me about a week to get used to this mattress. The first night I could hardly fall asleep, and then the next few nights it took longer than normal, and I worried I had made an expensive mistake. But now that I'm used to it I'm sleeping much better than I did before and my back & neck pain have diminished.

It's currently a little firmer than medium, but I understand that it needs to 'break in' to my body and will hopefully soften over time to its true feel and provide the perfect balance of support and plushness for an even more restful night's sleep. The queen TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm mattress is just what I was hoping for. A quality mattress made in America with quality sourcing, with the firmness that my 6 foot 3 230lb frame needed after 20 plus years of sleeping on a standard spring mattress. I wanted a firm feel and then to slowly conform to my body weight in just the right ways. It has only been 3 weeks, but I am just loving it and so is my back and body! Highly recommend this Firm mattress if firm is what you need.

We have owned 3 TEMPUR- PEDIC mattresses, our first one purchased in 2004. It was the best mattress we ever owned. I would like to see the old ones brought back. Next one was too soft, so we bought this one. For me, it's too hard and too high. We are getting older and it's hard to get in bed with the height. We own an adjustable base, would like to see a base that allows me to control how high the bed is.

Once you've laid on a Tempur-Pedic, you won't want anything else. The cooling effect from the mattress is wonderful, it really helps keep you comfortable through the night. The mattress even looks better than other mattresses. It's definitely a quality mattress that will last.

I am quite familiar with Tempur-Pedic-, I use to own a king size, and when I down sized to a queen, It was with mixed feelings to spend so much money on a mattress, well, after sleeping on my mattress I now realize how I would pay double just to have the same sleep I used to get, this mattress out performs my old mattress and the new tea to keep it cooler really is a God send.

I have a herniated disc in my back and my old mattress of 22 years left me feeling like it was hit by a Mack truck when I woke up in the mornings, if I slept at all. I bought and adjustable bed base also and it was the best decision I made in years. From day one my back stopped hurting when I slept and I could feel the pressure being relieved from my spine. Sometimes when I get home from work I lay down for and hour just so my back will fill better, I never did this before I bought this mattress. I can sleep all night without pain for the first time in years. LOVE this Mattress

I don't have anything bad to say about the mattress, just that I don't get the cooling effect of the mattress with a mattress cover over it. I like to have a mattress cover to protect from the dead skin and bacteria that can get in mattresses, but I've noticed that it completely blocks, at least the cover that I got from the store, the cooling effect that the mattress is supposed to give.

For this purchase, I debated between the Adapt and Pro-Adapt. I chose the Pro-Adapt Soft and absolutely love it. It is truly like sleeping on a cloud.
