I’m extremely disappointed with my Tempur-Pedic bed. I specifically chose this mattress and adjustable base setup because it’s marketed as helping with comfort and sleep issues like sleep apnea, which was a major factor in my decision. After only four years of use, the mattress has significantly broken down in the middle—right where it’s most affected by being propped up on the adjustable frame. This is especially frustrating because the entire system is designed and promoted to be used this way. I used the bed exactly as intended, regularly adjusting the base to improve my sleep. Instead of holding up, the mattress has lost its structure and support in a very noticeable way, making it uncomfortable and undermining the very reason I invested in it. To make matters worse, my warranty claim was denied due to a sweat stain. This makes no sense, as the breakdown is not even in the same area as the stain—it’s in the section where the adjustable frame raises the mattress and where my body weight is concentrated. If the stain were truly the cause, the damage would be in that location, not in a completely different area. It feels like an excuse to avoid honoring the warranty rather than addressing a legitimate product failure. For a premium product that’s supposed to be durable and supportive—especially for people dealing with sleep issues—this kind of deterioration in such a short time is unacceptable. I expected far better quality and longevity. Based on my experience, I will never buy another product from this company. Don’t waste your money. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

I have lower back problems and painful joints. I haven't been able to sleep on my back in years. Sleeping on my side was the only way I could sleep, but the hip on the side I was sleeping would begin to hurt, so I would be woken up and have to switch sides. This would go on all night, so I had poor sleep. This has all changed now that we have the Tempur-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid bed!! I can sleep on my back or my sides without pain!! I will never get anything else and highly recommend its purchase!!!

We decided to swap an older I-Comfort for the Tempur-Pedic. We have a Tempur-Pedic in our guest room which used to be our mattress. After the I-Comfort started to break down, we decided to go with what we knew had like. There was a marked difference in the Tempur over the I-Comfort. We are sleeping better and waking up with no aches in pains. I would encourage buyers to go to a retail outlet and not buy on-line.

I have had a Temper-pedic for over 9 years. It was time for a change. I received the ProAdapt Medium Hybrid in mid-March. It is SO COMFORTABLE....No break in at all......No more Siatic pain when I get up in the mornings. Do Not Hesitate to get one for you, you'll love it too.

Husband and I both have bad backs, but apparently have grown to thrive on our 11 year old Tempurpedic, which was firm initially, but with constant use by us and two large dogs had apparently became a bit less firm. Our mistake was not going to the store to try the mattresses. When my husband finally did go he received quality advice from the sales person, thus making the decision to exchange the firm ProAdapt twin mattress for a second Medium ProAdapt. Tempurpedic was more than sympathetic and helpful. Their 90 day exchange policy is more than fair. We needed to pay an additional shipping fee, but, after agonizing for days about this finally decided the medium was the way to go. We do appreciate Tempurpedic's flexibility. Thank you, all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has taken me a little over a week to adjust but my app tracker is showing an improvement in my REM sleep times. It has helped my back some by adjusting the head a little while I sleep. Great for watching my tv shows in too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went to a retail store to figure out what type of bed we would like and kept coming back to the Pro-Adapt: Medium Hybrid, after trying several other options. The in store bed was obviously broke in and quite comfortable. The retailer was going to charge quite a bit more for the bed so we ordered our mattress online from Tempurpedic.com. The shipping speed was fairly fast. However the bed was not quite like the in store bed which is normal. There is a break in period for new mattresses and we are 60 days in and it still doesn't quite feel like the in store one. We are going to keep trying it for the recommended time to see if the mattress feel improves. I will say my wife and I are sleeping fine though, we just thought the break in period wouldn't take this long.

We've had this mattress for going on two years, and have hoped that it would get softer and more comfortable in time. It has not, my girlfriend are having back problems and do not get a restful sleep. And it's only gotten worse the longer we use this mattress. I tried to exchange for a softer mattress but the warehouse employee encouraged me not to as the bed would improve over time. It hasn't, and too much time has passed, so now I'm stuck with a mattress with both hate.

I promise you that you can't lay on this mattress for long before you give into the need to sleep. For me and my wife it is cool, firm but so comfortable. I have had chronic back pain for years but in these last few months I haven't slept better. No complaints from us. G.M.B.

The sides were finally getting very soft, I am now pregnant and began feeling more uncomfortable as each week passed. I had planned on getting the medium or medium-hybrid, but my husband and I went into a store to lay on them. We realized even the firm mattress had quite a bit of give once you laid down on it and that it seemed like the best option for us. We ordered online which was easy; the delivery company messaged us with a couple of delivery date/time frame options. They came in, took our old mattress, replaced it with the new one, and now we are on to better sleep! I am so comfortable on this mattress, can barely feel when my husband moves, and if it wasn't for our noisy cat I would be sleeping through the night. I am so excited to have this mattress for many years to come. Thank you!
