[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first tempurpedic in 1997 after i lost my house in a flood. Had it until my divorce in 2015, she kept the mattress somehow. Did not get restful sleep until I GOT MY NEW MATTRESS and have been sleeping soundly ever since. My new one is better than my old one. Coupled with the adjustable base and I don't snore as bad, no sore throat when i wake up. If you want a good nights sleep this is it. I don't even get up to go to the bathroom 3 times a night anymore. I suspect discomfort was waking me, vacating my bladder allowed my joints to get back in alignment so I could go back to sleep every night. Now if I wake up I really do have to go. This mattress was so soft in the store, instant love. My hubby likes a slightly firm mattress, and I prefer sleeping in clouds. The salesperson told us to jump on the bed (we don't have the electric base) so that it'd add wear to it. The first 2 weeks I slept okay but the bed was firm. It adapted to my body, but honestly I wasn't comfortable and thought I'd just made a HUGE financial mistake buying it. Fast forward 6 weeks and my standpoint has changed, A LOT! The mattress still seems a little firmer when we first lay down, but it adapts to your body and is so comfy. I've been getting some of the best sleep I've ever gotten. Hubby is a side/back sleeper and I'm a side/stomach sleeper. Side note: both hubby and I were getting weekly, sometimes bi-weekly adjustments at the chiropractor. In the 8 weeks of owning the bed, we've each only been adjusted once. Our chiropractor said that the bed is really helping us by providing the support we need in our necks/backs.

I have been using a Tempur-Pedic mattress since the year 2000, and have recommended it to many friends. I still love it, but moved from New York to California, so thought it was a good time for a new one. The new Tempur-Pedic mattresses all looked different--much thicker, and with a textured top instead of my old smooth one. But now with my new Tempur-ProAdapt Firm, my back stills says "Thank you!" when I lie down. When I invite friends to try it, they also say "Thank you!"

First let me say the mattress feels great... then you fall asleep and suddenly you wake up HOT! I live in Illinois keep my house at 65 degrees and I'm still HOT. That's also considering our bedroom is the coldest room in the house. That so called cooling is only to the touch once you fall asleep it will retain your body heat. The others mattresses DO NOT KEEP YOU COOL, they merely keep you cooler than their regular mattress... so if you're a hot sleeper STAY AWAY!

For the past 25 years I have only had the pleasure of sleeping on hand-me-down mattresses that probably should have just gone to the trash. I would constantly wake up with back pain, toss and turn throughout the night, and just could not get a good nights sleep. My wife and I were reluctant to get a new mattress. The cost to us was shocking. We did not feel comfortable spending the amount but we knew we needed one. Well, we are glad we did. Since the first night we haven't had a bad nights sleep. We are so glad we chose this model and were also happy that the "soft" feel was still firm enough for the both of us. My back pain has since disappeared and each night I'm glad to get a good nights sleep. If you have any doubts, put them to rest. This mattress is worth the price and you'll have a better nights sleep because of it.

Overall this is a comfortable mattress, but it doesn't support my back like other firm mattresses. I invested in it as an answer to my back pain and I am terribly disappointed. This is not a true firm mattress. The support/resistance varies on different points of the surface, and it is effected by the room temperature. It gets softer in warmer temperatures and vise versa. A normal firm mattress alleviated my back pain, the Pro-Adapt firm does not. Tempur-Pedic ought to disclose this fact on their website, or avoid from classifying this mattress as "firm".

I sleep very hot but my wife sleep cold. So this bed is perfect not as much cooling as the colling line has but just enough to keep me cold and her not. With my knee problem this bed is a life changer adding the adjustable base and I was all set. Tempur-pedic for life.

This replaces our old Tempurpedic which was firm and original product. I have herniated discs in my lower back and my sleep has improved by at lest 75% since getting our new mattress. I can't expect a mattress to fix my back but it has fixed my sleep. I'm very happy.

I love the new bed. It is really firm so I'm getting use to it. I think it will be perfect in about 6 months or so. I love the no pressure point aspect! My shoulders and hips don't get sore anymore. I love the cold feel too! My old bed made me hot and I'm not hot anymore. I put it on an adjustable bed frame and love it! The only issue is that the mattress slips off the side and I have to fix it or at least check it before getting into bed at night.

Even though it was little expensive but the fact that we spend around 30-50% of our overall time in bed, it's worth it. It's very comfortable and relaxing to sleep on these and I love it.
