This is a completely different and improved experience for us. I sleep on my back with wrist braces on and rarely turn side to side. I was having back pain each morning and would awaken early due to how uncomfortable the mattress was. We decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a new mattress. When shopping we came across many hybrids but when they told us that tempur-pedic was the brand recommended by doctors for people with back problems I was sold. Why not get the mattress I might need in the years to come anyway- its like wearing orthotics in your your shoes. We went for the hybrid model to have a little more structure to the mattress but got the more expensive version of the model we were looking at to get the few more inches of foam and I think it was worth it. Hopefully it may make our mattress comfortable for longer (that is our hope). I no longer wake up multiple times a night due to back pain or hearing the springs move and make noises when my husband tosses and turns. We both sleep much better. I no longer look forward to taking trips and having to sleep on a different mattress, because now I love mine and I know that nothing will match it when we travel. It's actually a great feeling to know that your best sleep is the sleep you have at home a majority of the time. I do recommend the 5'' bed base, the 9'' was too high and we would have needed a stool to get into bed. I really wanted a 7'' which is my one recommendation to temper-pedic but the 5'' feels natural for us when getting in and out of bed for people our height (5'6"-5'10"). We have had the mattress for 4-5 months now. We would definitely buy it again.

I've had better nights sleep since night one of owning one and I couldn't be happier. Great quality bed. I honestly can't think of one thing I don't like about this mattress!

It is very different than a regular mattress tho, so if that's what your used to it may take you a bit to get used to it. But no doubt you will love it too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before purchasing this mattress my husband and I woke up feeling sore and not rested. We love this mattress and our adjustable base. We start the night in zero gravity and then flatten the bed out sometime in the middle of the night. The zero gravity setting for the adjustable base is great for my husbands back. It takes all the pressure from the day away! Then when we flatten the mattress out later in the night, the mattress contours to us and we wake up feeling wonderful! The only problem we have is that we don't want to get out of bed in the morning!! We say it every night when we get in to bed....what a great purchase!!

This is our second temper-pedic mattress. The first mattress we purchased several years ago is now used in our guest bedroom. For some unknown reason, we (wife and I) convinced our self to replace the master bed mattress with a competitors product (air mattress). We had purchased extra bed sheets and even though we never open the package the dealer would not give a reimbursement after 90 days. This was 3-years ago. Big mistake! We had enough sleepless nights and decided to revisit a temper-pedic dealer. Don't we swayed so take my advise and stick with what you know and trust. I cannot remember the last time I've slept this good. For most of us, with age come things like body aches and restless night. But not anymore! This mattress has been a life changer. I no longer wake up tired and achy, I wake up alert and ready to start the day! I was worried about the overall feels, a my husband prefers a more firm mattress and I like softer. However to my surprise it has been a great happy medium! Just soft enough to where I still feel like I'm on a cloud, yet firm enough where he doesn't feel like he's sinking in! They really do mean it when they say it conforms to every contour and curve. Don't hesitate, just buy it!

This Proadapt Firm mattress is my 4th in twenty years. I'm am very happy with after 6 nights of restful sleep. It's very solid feel gives me excellent comfort and support. I wake up well rested and energetic for the day. Each day it softens a little to the touch without losing its firmness. I love it. Best mattress ever.

After struggling to sleep through the night for the past few years due to hot flashes and restlessness from hip & back pain, we decided to invest in the Tempur-ProAdapt cooling bed and it was worth it! I have been sleeping through the night for the first time in over a year. No more waking up hot and the Zero G feature has changed our sleep pattern so much, no more tossing and turning or pain in our backs & hips. We love our new TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid bed with its TEMPURERGO Smart frame. The bed is so comfortable, and we love to set it at a very slight incline. We always had to stuff pillows or towels under our old mattress to get the same affect. Now if we want to read in bed, we can set it so we are sitting up and can also turn the virbrator on and enjoy reading before going to bed. The bed itself is so comfortable and literally engulfs our body for a perfect night sleep. We can hardly wait to see what our score is each morning after a good night sleep.
