Nice features

The Westinghouse iGen2500 is not whisper quiet but is much quieter than my old 7500 model. I like the high efficiency mode as it runs a lot quieter with smaller loads. I like the built in display showing various modes. The supplied screw in oil funnel is a nice feature as well. After adding the supplied oil and required fuel, it started with just a few pulls. This is a good size. Any bigger and it would require wheels or a dolly.

Great little generator

I bought this to replace a 20 year old 5000w generator that recently died on me. I am very happy with how portable this unit is, how easily it starts compared to the old beast, and how the advances in technology allow it to run more quietly and provide real-time display of relevant performance figures. Only complaint is that the cover was difficult to remove after loosening the two screws, and I actually cracked one of the snaps on the cover when removing (it was very cold out when I set it up).

Strong/Quiet little generator

I bought this about a week ago along with a magnetic oil dipstick. Filled it with oil and ran for an hour then changed the oil as recommended. There was some super fine metal shavings on the dipstick and the oil was slightly discolored as to be expected with a new motor. This thing runs pretty quiet even under a load. I powered two worm drive Skill saws at the same time with power to spare. I plan to use mainly for general camping and at 50lbs it should suit the purpose quite nicely.

Easy setup and operation!!

I bought this to use at football game tailgates after walking by all the tailgaters around and noticing which generators were the quiet ones. This Westinghouse was quiet as the “red” one and cost less than half as much! I've already found it handy to use while working in my barn to power a fan and lights.

Very good generator

I have had this for about 9 months and it performs just like the instructions show. I tested it by plugging in my electric lawn mower and mowing my back yard. I turned on the ECO MODE to see how the fuel saving worked. Perfect! When I stopped the lawn mower the generator reduced the RPM to idleing. Just as I expected. Good equipment.

Great Features

Great features when comparing the price to others. Other generators are comparable, but lack the convenient LED display for fuel level and loaded watts. Unit is very quiet. Only negative I have is that the spark plug is a bit tricky to screw in (due to a slight insertion angle) and verify it is completely flush. Only problem I've had and I've loaded the unit to 2000 watts (2kw) and it ran fine. My max load will be 1800 watts, so I considered this enough of a test.

Great for the price

This igen2500 started on first pull ,runs quiet, and able to pair with igen2200 or my Igen4500, love the gauge's, wish the 2200 had that, I've had it a couple of months and a cold front in Texas went by it cranked right up but didn't have to use, for the price it is a great Value

A necessity during long outages

Love this little generator. Small enough to be easily portable, but powerful enough to do its job. Easy to use, great features. Our power went out for an extended amount of time due to an ice storm, and it was such a relief to have our chest feeezer and garage fridge running and not lose all our food.

Old lady approved!

As a 66 year old single lady, I suffered through the glacier age in Texas last February without electricity. I began researching generators so I wouldn't have to experience that again. Westinghouse consistently appeared in the top reviews. I purchased the iGen2500. I was able to set it up and run it to break it in without any problem. It is so quiet! I'm very pleased with my purchase! Bring on the next Ice Age!

Bought a 2nd one

I bought one at the beginning of August because it was on a sale that I could not pass up. I used it for the first time after Hurricane Ida we were out of power for a week and a half. We also had a gas shortage but I was able to run a lot of my necessities in my home with a fraction of the fuel consumption compared to my neighbors big portable generator. I ran ceiling fans with led lights a large refrigerator a upright freezer 6500 btu window unit and it ran at 25 to 50 percent capacity the whole time ofcourse with letting it rest from time to time and maintenance as scheduled. I ran it a total of 176 hours. I was getting between 6 to 7 hours a gallon of gas. So I ordered a second one for me and two more for my neighbors who were impressed with what it could do.
