Very nice

Bought this yesterday while my power was out and I had it running about half an hour after I got it home. It powered a fridge and freezer at the same time. It did overload when I also attached a sump pump and air conditioner, but it was easy to reset.

Great Value! Extremely please with this product!

I bought this a few days ago to use while camping & for small emergency backup. This is very quiet while being more powerful than other inverters in its class. This is my 3rd Westinghouse product! I am extremely pleased with all of my Westinghouse products. I would highly recommend this product.

Read the manual

I did the 5 hour break in with variable loads under 50% and changed the oil which was silvery dirty, so do that. Starting with propane says push the button 3 times on the regulator, choke, pull till firm and pull to start then turn off choke, pull till firm and pull to start. Repeat process till starts. This helps!!! usually on the 2nd pull it will start instead of just pulling and pulling. Having a full tank of propane works best too. Thinking of installing a soft start on my rv air conditioner but bought this mostly as a portable propane inverter clean power generator to charge my 2 solar generators that won't charge with my old non sine-wave generator. Seems light without gasoline :)

Easy to get set up and get started

I recently bought the Westinghouse iGen2550DFc because I moved to coastal South Carolina and wanted a reliable dual fuel generator. This unit fit my needs for wattage and best of all, its light to carry around as a portable generator. Hope I don't need to use it but I'm glad I found something portable and reasonable.

iGen2550DFc Portable Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator

Initially I purchased a larger Inverter Generator (130+ lbs), but quickly realized that I would be better served by having 2 smaller, portable units for my RV usage (43 lbs). Reasonable noise level. Also very helpful for home usage during power outages. Quite versatile and convenient. Can be carried back on my property to run equipment away from the house.

Never worked properly

I previously wrote a positive review so that I could get the cover. We have only been able to get this thing actually going 1 time and only with gasoline. Its reasonably quiet and I thought it would work out great but I was wrong. 1- we specifically bought this model for its duel fuel capabilities. We planned on primarily using it with propane. When we tried to test at home it wouldn't work. It appeared the regular was faulty. We called westinhouse and they agreed to send us a "new" regulator. We had a camping trip coming up and thought ok we'll just use gas. Went and got gas. Tested it. Worked. 2- 2 days later we are boondocking and go to fire it up because it's 95 degrees outside and we wanted to run our small campers AC. Wouldn't start. After multiple tries it finally sounds like it's going to turn on but on the last pull the handle completely separated from the string! So now it's useless. We cut out camping trip short and drove 4 hours home early. Westinhouse agreed to send us a new cord kit. 3- we received the regular and cord kit in the mail. He regular was clearly used. Which isn't a huge deal, but it's annoying to be putting used parts on a brand new product. The cord kit was broken!! The cord was cut so that was again useless. They sent us out another and ita intact but it's not a straightforward fix. I'm not a mechanic I shouldn't have to take apart a brand new machine. I'm extremely disappointed that we spent so much money on a product that we have never actually been able to use.

starts in one pull. light, quiet

I bought this a few days ago and took it out of the box today. After adding oil and reading how to operate, it started right away. It's quiet, very light. I am gonna love this for my camper. Much quieter than most generators this size. I love the rubber tray on top as well. Can't wait to use this with my camper.

Great quiet generator

I bought this generator to use with our small camper when Boondock camping and it works fantastic. We did not want to carry another fuel such as gasoline so having it run off of our propane tank is great. It's just enough power to run our air conditioner and microwave. Two thumbs up!

Light and quiet

This is my 2nd Westinghouse generator/inverter. On a rare occasion it would be nice to run 2 in parallel. This one is slightly bigger than the older one, but feels lighter to me. The display is what sold me on this one. It's very helpful to know how many hours you have on the engine for scheduled maintenance!

So far, so good

Just purchased this, filled the oil, started and ran for 10 minutes. It's quiet, but I still measured 92 db (using Apple Watch) under no load. Difficult location to fill the oil, funnel is absolutely required. I haven't tried to run it under load yet, or with propane as the fuel source, so we'll see.
