Ran for a few hours varying the load (no more than 1/2) as recommended in the manual. The engine seems to be quiet enough but there is a high-pitched sound coming from the unit. I'm assuming this is from the generator itself and was hoping it would go away during the break-in period. Unfortunately, it hasn't so I'm not able to give this unit a higher rating.

I bought this igen2500 inverter generator in case of a power outage. Opened the box, read the instructions and it's pretty straight forward. Added the included oil although there might have been a little too much in the oil bottle as the dip stick indicated is was over the high mark. Im not that familiar with engines so after I set the dial to choke, the generator sputtered a little and didnt know when to turn the dial to run. Eventually, I did turn it to run and the engine started. I ran it for an hour to break it in and changed/replaced the oil. Had to buy more oil of course. The dirty oil was kinda dark looking so I recommend people changing the oil relatively early. And I highly recommend a magnetic dipstick. Then I ran it again but this time I plugged 2 refrigerators and a couple of chargers and it handled it no problem! Didnt look at the output but I suspect it can handle even more than that. It's somewhat heavy loaded with gas so not sure if the wife can easily move it around. Noise was ok if you are right next to it and eco made it even quieter but its not bad from a distance as I think itll be ok to run it overnight. Digital readout is great in telling you how much time you have left running. So far it looks pretty reliable and I cant say about its longevity just yet but this seems like its gonna be a solid generator.

I purchased almost 2 months ago. Wanted to be able to plug in my refrigerators in case we ever lose power. Finally got to open the box. Right away, you can tell that it's made well. Filled up the fluids. It started up on the second pull. Plugged in a 1500 watt heater and no issues running. Of course this heater consumed over half of the available wattage that the generator puts out. The wattage consumption that this heater uses is equivalent to the 2 refrigerators and 1 freezer that I need to power in case of a power outage. A little older than I expected, especially when there's a load. Overall, very happy with the purchase. Hope I don't ever have to use it, but if I do, I'm confident that it will do the job.

I bought this generator due to the unreliable Texas grid. This generator will pay for itself next time Texas is in the dark for 3 days. Great features like USB charging ports, digital fuel guage, and wattage meter! Highly recommended and great price!

I purchased this unit due to using an older 2200 watt version at work. If this unit is as reliable as those other units, the price point and size compared to the other big 3 is a no brainer. It started right up out of the box, after adding gas and oil of course, and the sawzall i ran off the generator actually drowned out the generator noise.

I have been using portable backup gas gensets for 49 years in Alaska both at our home and onboard our boat. The igen2800c is by far the best quality genset I have used. The price is also a good buy as I have paid a lot more for lessor quality name brand gensets. Their design is very well thought out. It's quiet and I like the display features. So far I have found nothing to criticize!

The Westinghouse iGEN2500 is equal or lighter weight than most of the 2000 Watts inverter generators that I researched but best of all it's peak output is 500 watts greater. Additionally, it is quiet as most with the exception of the Honda and Yamaha which are only slightly lower but are twice the price. Westinghouse's iGEN2500 with it's larger power is a perfect fit for my new Travel Trailer

AFTER MUCH RESEARCH AND MANY REVIEWS, I CHOOSE THE WESTINGHOUSE IGEN2500 AND IT IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. THE UNIT IS STURDY AND SEEMS TO BE WELL BUILT. IT STARTS EASILY AND IS QUIET ENOUGH TO HAVE A NORMAL CONVERSATION NEXT TO IT. I HAVE USED OTHER GENERATORS THAT WERE SO LOUD YOU HAD TO GO TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE YARD TO TALK. IT IS RELATIVELY LIGHT WEIGHT AND EASY TO MOVE. IT IS ALSO POWERFUL ENOUGH TO RUN THE NECESSARY APPLIANCES DURING A POWER OUTAGE.

Im still breaking it in, but started first pull,I plugged in a 5k air conditioner a box fan and ran a shop vac and was at 50% power. after a while of running motor was misfiring under no load a little but soon as I put a load on it it was smooth. Dont know why maybe spark plug or just needs to finish breaking in. will be using for back up power and misc, bought this unit because of reviews and ability to run 15k air conditioner,so far im very impressed.

I bought this for occasional use with my camping trailer. Tried it out and it has plenty of power to run the camper A/C or microwave oven. Also will be used for emergency power when the electricity goes off in the winter. After filling the crankcase with oil and adding gasoline it started on the first pull, impressive!
