Nice unit, but only metric units

The generator was exactly what I expected, and the quality, fit and finish are good. Started right up with no issues. My only *minor* complaint is that on the digital display, fuel remaining is listed in liters (of which I sadly have no real reference, since everything in the US is gallons). This isn't a big deal, but I thought other buyers may like to know this.

Very Impressed!

Bought this generator primarily to be able to run a 15K a/c unit in the RV as well as for the odd portable needs requirement. I am currently midway thru my own break-in procedure of 1 hour run with varying loads, then drain the oil, refill and run for 4 hours with varying loads, then good to go. Using a 600w fan, 1800w hair dryer and a 15A HF air compressor, all at varying times to apply load and this iGen unit has passed. The air compressor did kick the breaker when it tried to restart with 80psi head pressure on the compressor. I can't fault the iGen as that is a very heavy starting load. I pressed the circuit breaker reset while the iGen was still running, depleted the remaining air in the tank and turned the air compressor back on. The iGen handled the startup without issue. The generator's noise level is less than that of a push lawnmower when the air compressor was running, so it will work great for the RV. I am very impressed with this unit.

Great so far

I have only ran it for an hour, but it started right up. I may use it for my Class C motor home for dry camping since it is quieter and uses less gas than the built in Onan gen. I was curious as to whether it would run the rv's 13,500 btu A/C. It does, but I can't start the electric refrigerator while the a/c is running. If the refrigerator is already on, then it starts the a/c and runs both. That is more than I expected!

Well made and powerful

I bought two of these a month ago and just installed the high altitude kit on the first one. This is powerful enough to run my 5000 btu home air conditioner, the same as is in my camper. It's quiet with all the panels installed, and seems to be well made.

Quiet and Light

First impressions are very favorable. Assembly in Vietnam instead of China is a plus. Quieter than other gen's that I have tried. The lighter weight allows this 73 year old to lift it into the truck bed and move it around. The only load it has had so far is a 1200 watt compressor - which was slow getting the motor to speed. I think the generator takes a while to provide enough amps. Once going it pulled 50% load which would be right.

Easy to start

After unboxing and adding oil and gas, the generator started on the second pull. I shut it down and then easily restarted it on the first pull. It's reasonably quiet, but not as quiet as I had hoped. It's light enough for my wife to carry, so that's a definite plus.

Full-time and first generator.

I brought it home today and broke it in. It started with the first pull. Ran an hour unloaded then changed oil. Ran a second hour with loads 1500w water kettle five times and several cycles of my craftsman 6gal air compressor (1000w). I like this generator.

Good value

Started on first pull and provides good features, including digital readouts. Purchased for emergency power to fridge, freezer, portable room AC, and travel trailer AC. Unfortunately, the latter spikes over 20A when starting on a hot day, tripping the iGen circuit breaker. This starting spike is a common problem on RV ACs. I plan to address it by installing a "soft-start" module on the AC compressor. The advertised noise level is 52 dBA, but my phone app measures about 70 dB from 8 feet away; however, the actual noise level is acceptable and similar to other inverter gensets of this wattage. Recommended this model to a friend, who also purchased one.

Super I/GEN

I purchased this I/GEN because I wanted one lighter than my old regular generator with the same wattage. I got it, put the oil in, put some fuel in and it started on the second or third pull. Checked everything out and it was A O/K. Plugged up some of my equipment and tried it out. It ran just fine. I ran it about 1 1/2 hours, cut it off for about 30 minutes then started it again with no problem. I ran it a while longer and cut it off. I am thoroughly pleased with it. Great buy as far as I am concerned.

Sound Power!

As an MC and race announcer I am in need of power when a plug in source is not available and this unit has proved to carry the load of my voice and streaming music through my sound system for hours on end. Pretty user friendly for a non mechanical/technical operator like myself and any issues I've had would have been alleviated if I would have JUST READ THE DIRECTIONS! Personally I like the color because it ties in with my logo and separates itself from others being used at events. Would buy another if I'd ever need to.
