My replacement unit that Westinghouse sent me has the exact same problem as the original unit I bought... The "Fuel Off-Engine ON" position on the Engine/Fuel control knob does not shut off the flow of fuel to the carburetor--- it is supposed to stop the flow of fuel but let the engine continue running so that it will run the fuel out of the carburetor for storage... But it only shuts off the flow of fuel when in the "Engine OFF" position. I don't know if the wrong parts are being installed on the assembly line or what... but two generators in a row (and I would assume a majority of them at this point...) with the exact same problem and assembly dates 5 months apart... and that's not right, it seems there is a definite defect with these units. The generator is very quiet at low power outputs, but if you load it up to the rated power output, that little 80cc engine has to work hard, and it does make some noise at full output. This could be a 4.5 star genny if the controls worked properly... but 2 units with the exact same problem... knocks it down to 2 stars. However, Westinghouse Customer service was good and shipped me the replacement unit with no hassle, so maybe it should be 3 stars... I would definitely recommend if they can get the Engine/Fuel control thing fixed...

Bought this in June! Quiet and works great except shuts down after about 30-45 after first starting. After pushing the reset button it seems to work fine! I previously bought and still use my other Westinghouse gas inverter generator, which works fine!

I got this for the dual fuel feature and it's perfect for my 30 amp RV. I can run my 15,000 max air conditioner with with the 1700 available watts on propane, (with the soft start I installed previously). Well worth the money! Now I have to sell my VERY heavy - BIGGER, open frame LOUD Champion.

I actually bought this unit a month ago. We love our grid in northern Michigan and our other generator died. So we needed a new one. I have read great reviews on this unit. It's is easy to start and runs good. Also quiet. Love the fuel level so you can tell when your going to run out. Running adeep freezer and a small cabin. All is great.

I purchased this inverter generator about 3 weeks ago because I work from home and lose power a couple times a month. I needed a generator that was easy to use and was safe for sensitive equipment like a desktop computer, modem and 2 routers. This product worked perfectly when I had to use it. I purchased the dual fuel product because I wanted to use propane. It was so easy to start and hook up my equipment so I could continue to work. I had absolutely no issues and are so satisfied with this product annd the peace of mind it gives me. It's also very light weight and quiet. I would definitely recommend this generator!!

I bought the Westinghouse iGen2500 for use with a travel trailer. Started right up after the initial oil fill. The "Efficiency Mode" switch is a great feature, as it makes the engine run a very low RPM when not under load. The digital display is nice as well.

Upon first start up and break in period the generator seemed to run ok, but as soon as and electrical load of more than 200 watts was plugged in, the greater would would have a significant surge and die. Thought it was a fuel system problem, read another reviewer indicating both of his new units had fouled spark plugs from factory, so I checked mine. The plug was not fouled, but cracked/broken. All good once a new spark plug inserted.

This is the second Westinghouse iGen2500c Inverter Generator I purchased. This is a great portable sized generator at ~50 lbs and it performs very smoothly and relatively quietly, being an Inverter Generator. It continues to start on the first pull and the Digital Data Panel is top notch, conveniently showing the Gas level, Power level, Voltage level, Total Hours Run, and time left to run, with the Manual Push Button feature to select the data shown. I've generally used it for loads up to 1700 Watts and it performs flawlessly! I'm very pleased with this purchase!

As expected, this generator is quite, and easy to start! It is the little things that I notice while setting it up, that are awesome! Things like, the little tool kit that comes with it, has every tool you need to service the generator. The cover that you remove to access the oil dipstick, has 2 Phillips screws. When you loosen those screws, they don't come out. They are made to stay in the door. Awesome because then I won't loose them! The funnel that comes with it, that you use to fill the oil, is threaded so it threads into the oil port. It is little attention to detail items like this, that makes the Westinghouse brand the superior brand!

Cranked the first time! Only used once so far but did the job!
