Easily meets my cruisng needs

Purchased this generator for my boat which has a 4.2 KW diesel generator that too often malfunctions. I have run my two highest load appliances (water heater, microwave) simultaneously putting only a 75% load on the iGen 2500, thus easily meeting my cruising needs. Weight is light enough to move around the boat and store without a problem. Very quiet and the "Efficiency Mode" is greatly appreciated--producing only the energy needed. At the power capacity level, design, and price point I believe this product is a great value.

quiet and easy to use

I have tested my igen2500 a few times now and so far its done great. It is easy to start and is extremely quiet when running. It is the quietest generator I've ever been around. I also enjoy the LED data center. You can quickly and easily determine the status of the generator. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase

Started on first pull

I immediately ran a two stage heater (out on the driveway) for a couple hours in econo mode. I would manually switch from off to 1000w and 1800w every once in a while. Handled the transition between settings just fine. I than took it to my camper and ran my 13500 btu AC unit. This worked fine in standard mode. I tried to adjust the temp setting knob manually, turning the knob down and then back up and the unit went into overload. Thinking maybe there could be pressure build up in the compressor, I decided to let the the AC cycle on its own. This way the cycle time was longer, letting the compressor settle back down. Not only did this work, but also worked in econo mode. That's why I gave it a five star. It does everything I expect and than some!

Good for tailgating, keeping things running in an emergency.

So far, I've just been getting through a break-in period, but after the first few minutes, it was running smoothly and very quiet! Want to be ready for hurricane season and I think for purposes of being able to run my fridge, a hotplate, and a very small AC (one at a time of course) I should be set!

Very good value

Did extensive research on small portable generators. The iGen 2500 stood out as a very reliable model which should take care of my needs during a power outage. The generator appears to be well built, compact and light weight. The unit started on the second pull and is everything I expected. I look forward to using it the next time we loose power.

Powerful, efficient and easy to start.Highly Recommended!

I test run my iGen 2500 and it started right up with no issues at all.It was super quiet and very effective. The product came with almost all the things you needed to start it up.The only missing thing was the gas which i know was for safety reasons. It was super easy to set up and operate. The instructions in the manual were pretty easy to follow..it's very economical as far fuel efficiency is concerned. It's the best generator out there in its division and I highly recommend it to everybody.

Quiet and powerful

Received the iGen2500 about a week ago. Setup instructions were clear and simple and took about 5 minutes. Started up first pull. Very quiet, particularly in the Efficiency Mode which drops the idle down to deliver only the power that is needed. I learned quickly that to power high demand equipment, like a compressor, it is best to take it out of Efficiency mode to start it, which makes sense as the surge current takes a few seconds for the generator to ramp up to speed. Otherwise, all my tests of power delivery, volume, etc. are great! Time will tell on longevity.

Fuel Efficient, Easy to Use, Powerful

I've been using the iGen2500 for a month now. We lost power due to a hurricane and this unit has been a life saver. We can easily run the fridge, TV, a few fans, computer, charge phones, and other misc. appliances without worry. It's super fuel efficient too. One tank goes a long way.

Generator started in two pulls of the rope and ran quite.

I purchased this product after some internet research on generators. The reviews told me this was a great product, the generator was easy to start and use, and the running noise levels were better than the Honda or Yamaha. I started the generator and plugged several power tools into it and it performed as expected.

Lightweight and Quiet

This machine has everything! It's just what we needed for our food stand. We purchased two generators and parallel cord with gives us 5,000 peak watts and 4,400 running watts. This powers all of our fryers, heating lamps and lights. Light enough for easy transport and storage. Also it allows you to easily drain fuel and oil after use. One of the best features in my option. These Inverter's are nice and quiet. We were going to buy a Honda but decided on these and I am glad we did. They are just as powerful and quiet.
