I added 4 feet to the carport height to house my 18 foot travel trailer. I inserted 3.5” x 3.5” x 2’ posts into each 7’ post. I then sandwiched (2) 6” x 1.25” x 4’ cedar boards & (2) 3.5” X 1.25” to the center posts. I then attached the provided baseplates to the new extension posts. The build from that point was normal.

This unit is well made and sturdy, but be forewarned. There are hundreds of pieces and hundreds of screws and bolt. It is not hard to put together if follow the directions and try to look ahead to see what it is that you are doing. I did 95% of it by myself, but I had plenty of time to do. If you have access to help take it. Things will go alot smoother. There were no missing parts. However one sheating board was cut wrong and I had to recut the lap and drill new holes, no big deal. Overall I'm very pleased with unit.

You have to really pay attention to the detailed instructions. If you follow the directions you will not have any problems. The 2 different size washers for each bolt was painful at times but you have to follow the directions. I’m 65 years old and built this over 2 weekends at my own pace. I found the use of a ratchet strap helpful in keeping the roof panels square and did not screw the cross pieces for the roof panels until I had the framework square. I also used the ratchet strap to help pull the outside rafters in which helped with the final roof bolts alignment. This gazebo is of great quality and very sturdy. I recommend this to anyone who is handy and follows directions carefully. You truly can’t deviate from the directions.

We love the gazebo and had it installed by Sam’s. We didn’t know it at the time but the roofing metal had a blue film to protect it from getting scratched during shipment. The installer either didn’t know or just didn’t bother to take it off. Now it is coming off on its own and it looks terrible. I would give this product a 5 if it wasn’t for this issue with the plastic film. It is to get it the removed now.

We searched and searched Sam's to get this. My husband was tracking it with an app to know immediately when it came back into stock. It is absolutely gorgeous once assembled. However, unless the 2 people building it are Thor and the Incredible Hulk, you will need more than 2 people. We used 4 at times to get it upright.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Gazebo last Summer and have been enjoying it more than anything. The fact we can bbq and sit out back and not get beat down by the direct hit of the sun is a pleasure and my family and I are truly putting it to great use.

Very durable product. Very nice looking. Paid extra to have put together because I didn't want the hassle of assembly! Item will be delivered in 5 separate (heavy) boxes, so be aware of where you are going to store those before they arrive. Company who assembled product did a good job. Only 2 minor dings on cedar posts that the installer ordered stain for.

After purchasing and losing many pop up gazebos to the wind, we finally took the leap and bought this heavy duty wood gazebo. We couldn't be happier!! The icing on the cake is having the charging station. We hung Edison lights and it looks so pretty at night! Would definitely recommend.

It was too expensive to build a percent roof covering our back deck. This gazebo did the trick. We installed a sun shade to stop the evening sun so we can enjoy the tranquility of our back yard. And cookout without getting rained on. Would definitely buy again. I put most of it together by myself. You definitely need two or three people to slide the roof panels in place.

The gazebo assembly went really well, and it looks great adjacent to the house. I did not appreciate getting an email the day I received it saying that to maintain my warranty, I would have to perform labor on the gazebo that would far exceed the cost. Better to just tell customers there is no warranty, as that would have been more truthful.
