My husband and I bought the gazebo for cover over our patio area by our swimming pool. To be honest I was hesitant at first because it was a “kit” but it was easy to follow directions and put together. It is also very sturdy and solid. It’s a beautiful addition to our backyard area!

I have zero complaints, love the final product. No missing pieces, and instructions were easy to follow. You do have to be somewhat handy to put it all together, and if you dont square it up the roof panels will not go on right. That was the only thing with the set up i would warn people about. And it 100% is not a one person job.

Bought mine several months ago. Very pleased with the craftsmanship and detailed instructions. Had contractors put it up. Could have done it myself(but not a one man job) Looks great and with the sturdy construction, it will be around for years to come.

What a beautiful product! The wife and I had long talked about having a custom gazebo built to kick off our backyard beautification projects. We eventually considered a Backyard Discovery kit because of its apparent ease. I’m glad we went with Backyard Discovery! The wood and metal hardware all appear to be of excellent quality. I can’t attest to the ease of the assembly because we hired a crew to put it together. However, it did take a small crew of 3 men nearly all day to finish. the finished product is fantastic! The family loves it!

We love the gazebo and had it installed by Sam’s. We didn’t know it at the time but the roofing metal had a blue film to protect it from getting scratched during shipment. The installer either didn’t know or just didn’t bother to take it off. Now it is coming off on its own and it looks terrible. I would give this product a 5 if it wasn’t for this issue with the plastic film. It is to get it the removed now.

I'm so glad I purchased this carport. Originally, we were going to build on an additional garage, but after getting quotes on a project that size, we started looking at other options. Settled on the Norwood Carport by Backyard Discovery and man I'm glad we went this route. I'm 63 and somewhat handy with building things, so I put it together myself. Obviously, doing it by myself posed a few challenges, but all in all it was a breeze. Very simple install. The step by step directions (included) were great, and the labeling of the pieces was perfect. Total install took me about 2 weeks to complete, but that included some special concrete footings which I poured myself since I was installing it on a slight grade (and it was winter) On a flat space this would be super easy. I was amazed how well engineered this structure is. This thing is awesome. The only assistance I needed was to set the roof panels on. I had the panels ready, so with 4 people, we were able to set the roof panels into place in about 1 hour. Once those were on and in place, I was able to secure them by myself. Making sure all was square and plumb; those roof panels went on very smooth. In hindsight, the only thing I should have done differently; I should have stained all wood prior to install. Also, since it was on a grade, I added (taller) customized 6" x 6" cedar posts to accommodate the grade. I plan to use the extra four 6"x6" cedar posts that came with the unit as fence and gate posts on the backside of the carport. I will add pics later.

This was an addition to our patio and it really brought everything together. It is a very nice product and we didn’t have any issues with the assembly. The only issue we had was not knowing the posts would be hollow, we were hoping for solid for stability and durability. Otherwise it was comparable and did its job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a smaller one that had a fabric top, so glad I did. Kit arrived in multiple boxes and to my surprise No damage. Great instructions and between my wife I we were able to get it together in a couple days. All the holes were correctly placed and as long as you follow the directions I believe anyone could put this together. This will be the first Colorado winter it will go through and I believe that it should have no problems.

This is my second gazebo in two years. The first was a Cordova for my outdoor dining table which was a phenomenal addition. We bought the Norwood for our hot tub so we can us it during inclement weather including snow. It has enhanced our spa time tremendously. Wish we had done this years ago. Looking to do a third over the grill area. I bought these because of their structure and ability to hold up in wind and snow storms. Just a great product and easily assembled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect addition to our backyard. It feels very estately, large, substancial, but provides a cozy space for our yard. The gazebo is very sturdy, solid and has survived 2 snow storms and several wind storms already. We paid for assembly and it was well worth it. It took one (very strong) man 5 hours to set this up. He was definitely a pro, as I'm certain it would have taken us several days to complete.
