These are a solid choice for an all around winter tire.

These replaced a set of X-ICE 3 that were 4 years old. The only issue I had with the 3s is how they handled deeper snow. The X-ICE Snow have taken care of that, without losing any of the other handling of the original 3s. Highly recommend these

Absolutely great in the snow and ice

When I'm driving on snow covered roads, I am so glad to have these tires equipped. It's like the snow is not even there. They also handle exceptionally well on icy roads. The tires are also pretty quiet for winter tires - on dry, bare pavement, they're quieter than the factory-installed all season tires. I wouldn't consider anything but Michelin when buying tires.

What happened?

This are not the same Michelin X-Ice I’m a long time user of this brand and had them on my last 4 vehicles. These ones spin at stops, have noticeable reduced breaking distance, and I haven’t fishtailed since I was a kid so I was very surprised by the lack of performance. I will be moving on. Maybe not from Michelin but the X-Ice? No dice.

Very very good!

Bought a set of these for my new VW Taos. Great looking and even better performing! I've had many sets of winter tires over the years, these are easily the best! It's been both very icy and snowy here in the last few weeks and the X-Ice snow has been very sure footed in all conditions. They are also very quiet on dry pavement. I've always been a big fan of Michelins all season and Pilot series tires, now I'm sold on their winter tires as well!

Michelin X-ICE snow

I trust Michelin to perform on and off the road during the worse winter conditions. I use my 2016 Range Rover HSE Sport in the worst winter conditions, and also do a lot of off roading for ice fishing and hunting camp in the woods. When there is no plowed roads, these get the job done and have never failed to perform even in the deepest snow and through streams which land rover can easily pass through. I chose the Michelin X-ICE 255-55-R20 for its aggressive and wide foot print to conquer the worst snow that winter can through at us in Canadian winters.

X-ice snow SUV

I bought 4 Michelin X-ice snow SUV tires. For the price I paid, I think Michelin could make the tire with a deeper tread than just the 8mm they provide. I find this tire does not have enough bite in deep snow for winter driving. Other winter tires provide a tread depth of 14mm. This allows for a superior bite when driving in deep snow.

Makes Snow Driving Fun!

Handles snow and slush with incredible ease. I traveled on some nasty roads here in Michigan recently and never worried for my safety or had issues with traction. It was actually kind of fun… Tires are pretty quiet too even on dry roads, which is a nice bonus. However, ice is still ice and there is only so much a tire can do. They certainly have more traction on ice than all-seasons, but the difference isn’t as noticeable.

Drive Your Mustang in the Winter!

Got some Michelin snow tires for the Mustang ast winter. They were great the following day after the storm, when the roads have been cleared and salted. You have to exercise care and caution if you're going to drive thru a snow storm. It's a Mustang. Light rear end, rear wheel drive only. Lots of donuts for the fun loving crazies out there!

I have used these tires for years

I have put these snows on all my vehicles and recommended them to friends for over 15 years. I previously used Nokia, but these are better. As the name suggests, they are optimized for ice, slush, and moderate snow. So for the average urban dweller, they are outstanding. I notice little difference between these and my summer tires. Winter doesn't bother them. The only caveat is if you live in the snow belt: there are better choices for deep snow.

Great Tire

A lot of my family used winter tires.I always used all season tires with my all wheel drive vehicle. But for the winter of 2021/2022 I got the Michelin X-ICE Snow and with all the snow and freezing rain we got in Winnipeg,Manitoba.I was sure glad I got them because with the extra grip on ice and snow. The improved handling and stopping distance. Now I know why so many people say once you use winter tires you will never use all season tires in winter again.Especially in winterpeg.Thank you Michelin for making such a great tire like the X-Ice,Snow.
