A really good Riesling

This was the first Member's Mark wine I tried. It was an impulse buy due to the price and I didn't expect much so I was really pleasantly surprised! It is lightly sweet, fruity and slightly crisp, but not overly sweet as some Riesling's can be. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy a good Riesling or lightly sweet white. Comparable to more expensive bottles, if not exceeding them.

Tasted like crap. Not like a riesling at all. Threw it down the drain.

It has just enough bubble to tingle the tongue slightly. It is sweet, but not cloying. The sweet overpowers any underlying tartness iniitially but gives way later on the tongue to allow some tartness through. The bouquet is very light for a Reisling, nothing to speak of, nothing to enjoy. It is only lightly fruity in any respect. For the price, this is somewhat of a standout, but I would not make it a regular purchase. It is too sweet, has insufficient tingle to the tongue, and lacks the boquet, fruitiness, and the balance of a good Reisling. It is a pleasant wine however.

When I went to Germany, I did a Wine Tasting Tour in the Mosel Region and fell in Love with Riesling's and Ice Wine too. When I drink this Member's Mark Riesling, I'm immediately transported back to that region. Great Taste for any Occasion. Highly Recommend.
