My husband and I are absolutely blown away by the quality of this product. We knew we needed a new mattress, but have been trying to hold out as long as we could (inflation ). After a month or so of consistently waking up in pain, with stiffness and aches that would last a good part of the morning, I had the last straw. We went to our local mattress store and we trialed several different beds. My husband and I agreed we wouldn't shop with price in mind, but instead we would shop for comfort. I laid on this mattress and felt like I fell into a cloud. It supported every curve on my body and suited me as a side/back sleeper and my husband as a side/belly sleeper. We still laid on other mattresses - unsure if we wanted traditional coils or if we wanted to get another all foam mattress. The hybrid is really the best of both worlds. We got it delivered and set up, napped for the afternoon and woke up for the first time in months without any shred of pain! My husband and I both have rheumatic arthritic conditions. The bed you sleep on is an investment. We have the soft, the medium was okay, the firm was too much for us. If you can, sample the mattress and you, too, will be sold on the superior quality of Stearns & Foster!!!

We have it on a platform bed with slats, so we did not need a foundation and I'm glad because the mattress is very tall in itself. You'll need sheets with deep pockets in order to fit! There's a reason why Stearns & Foster is the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bed is fantastic! We ordered a "bed in a box" type mattress years ago for convenience and price. While they seem comfortable initially, they quickly decline in quality. The Stearns and Foster Reserve is the first traditional mattress we have had in years. When presented with the opportunity to review one of Stearns and Fosters mattresses from Bzzagent, I still wanted to do my research. I landed on the Reserve collection soft pillowtop. The pillowtop provides an extra layer of cushioning that is very comfortable. I tend to get very warm while sleeping, so the cooling fibers were very important to me. While lots of products claim to be "cooling", this mattress has delivered on that claim. The pillowtop cover is made of Tencel, which is a high-end fabric known for its exceptional temperature regulation. It has a silky moisture wicking fabric feel to it. Our summer heat is brutal, so this was the perfect time to test the cooling capabilities. Another feature I love is the dual support. The mattress has a comfort layer with TEMPUR-Indulge memory foam, but also a support layer with Intellicoil HD. One issue we have had with the foam mattresses in a box is they tend to lose their shape and sag over time. They don't provide support long term. My husband is a side sleeper, and I am a stomach sleeper, we both find this mattress very comfortable and supportive. It provides a good night's sleep to every type of sleeper. If there is any question on quality and standing the test of time, just try lifting and moving the mattress. It is extremely heavy! That may be the only negative about it. When trying to change the sheets it is slightly more difficult to lift and get the sheets on. I will take that minor inconvenience any day to have the quality rest we have been getting on this mattress. Goodbye bed in a box!

This is the third mattress in 25 months. I weigh 190 pounds my wife weighs 125 pounds and after about 9 to 10 months the mattresses just cave-in and we're trying to sleep in divot and there is a big hump in the middle. The exact same thing happened on our first mattress and after 10 months they replaced it with another mattress after nine months we have to have that mattress replaced. So we just got this mattress last week and we will see what happens.

This mattress is outrageous. Prior to purchasing, layed on the other top brands. This mattress, from the time you lay on it feels so luxurious. I know preferences differ, but for me, there's nothing like the experience. It helps to melt away the anxiety, especially with the base Temper Ergo Smart). At this point, there's nothing I don't love about it.

I had a Stearns and Foster mattress for over 20 years, it was the highest end mattress you could get at the time. We always loved it. We just moved into our new house and I decided to update our mattress and box springs/foundation. The new mattress and foundation were riddled with defects and issues. I have had to replace 3 different box springs/foundations as the foundations had torn coverings on the bottom or they were poorly put together, The mattress has been replaced once as there was a defective bulge on the side. I received a replacement foundation this week and a replacement mattress. And as I continue this nightmare both items received were defective as well. The mattress has a bulge on the left side of the foam encasement (would never pass any inspection by a mattress quality expert). The foundation does not lay flat, it rocks from one side to the other. I keep telling the customer service reps that there is a quality problem they are experiencing as they keep delivering me defective product after defective product. I wish I had my old mattress back.

I did not know a mattress could make such a difference in a good night's sleep! When I wake up after sleeping on my Lux Hybrid I feel refreshed, energized, and rested. Before this mattress, I woke up tired and feeling sore. My neck and my shoulders would hurt from tossing and turning all night. I now wake up without discomfort. No more waking through the night from being hot, which to me is everything. The quality of the mattress is impressive, and the level of comfort is amazing! I can't explain it, but when I lie down it feels as though it hugs the exact form of my body, which I love! I get the level of support I need from this mattress.

My husband and I spent nine days at the Fairmont Orchid Resort on the Island of Hawaii. Those were the best night's sleep I had in over five years. In our last morning in our suite I pulled the covers off to discover the brand of the mattress. It was Sterns and Foster, I did more investigating I called housekeeping, they informed me it was a Sterns and Foster Reserve mattress. As soon as we arrived beck home I went on line and ordered the Reserve Firm Pillow Top Split California mattress. It was delivered yesterday 4/12, we put the bedding on that was the included gift. Last night was the best sleep we have had since coming home from Hawaii. We woke up rested, refreshed , ready for the day. Beyond a shadow of a doubt this is the best mattress we have owned. The old adage is true You get what you pay for, in this case it is a luxurious well made mattress worth every penny we spent.

I had the cassatt ultra plush and exchanged it for the lux hybrid soft and regret every minute of it. I swear I have a defective bed. It is only soft in certain spots and for the most part hard all over and I can feel the coils or whatever this bed is made of. I've had it longer than 6 months so it's definitely had time to break in and still as uncomfortable as ever. And from previous reviews I know stearns and fost won't do a darn thing about it. Such an expensive bed for low quality. Do not recommend!

Mattress is very soft but I've always have had a king and it's never had had a humps in the middle and edges. The store wouldn't help me I've contacted sterns and foster and no answer. Do not buy this product
