Not built to last, product reliability!

I bought this dryer approximately a month and a half ago. At first, we loved it, but then it stopped getting hot and only blowing cold air. It took a week and a half to two weeks to get a technician out to fix it. Now it rattles all the time because he had to take it apart to repair it. At this point I would not recommend this product! My last dryer lasted 20 years without a problem.

Not a good product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer works okay It's not "smart" as advertised though. The smart app doesn't connect to this model. Also the "energy saver" mode doesn't dry on the first run and the "sensor dry" only works sometimes

Hey there. We know how important your dryer is to everyday life, and we want to help you get the most out of it. If your DLE6100W dryer isn’t connecting to the Smart App, that’s expected since it’s not designed for app compatibility. For clothes not drying fully in Energy Saver mode, try using a different setting, extend the drying time, or don’t overload it. If the Sensor Dry function is acting up, clean the moisture sensors, check your clothes aren't too wet or dry, and avoid over packing the dryer. If you need more guidance, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport. We would love to help you. ^ Diego

Very nice gas dryer with simple controls

Recently purchased a couple of weeks ago and still learning controls for what works for each load. Seems overall to dry most clothes on medium setting but, socks need extra dry time. Towels also need extra dry time. We changed the door hinges from left front to right front to accommodate our laundry area.

JUST WANT A-WORKING DRYER

My dryer worked for about 10 loads. Dealing with LG has been absolutely a challenge of my sanity. We FINALLY got a repair man to come and it was the delicate igniter. Now we wait another 10 days for part and another appointment for repair. The repairman was was good, and I have no complaints about him. I do NOT want email sent to me or calls from Chatbot or AI !!!

Hi, Donald. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review regarding your LG Gas Dryer, model DLG6101W. We recognize your shared experience with the igniter issue, the scheduling of your repair appointment, and the communication you have received. To help ensure your dryer functions safely and efficiently while you await your service visit, we recommend verifying that the external exhaust vent hood outside your home is completely clear of lint, debris, or bird nests, which will allow for proper airflow once the heating components are fully repaired. Additionally, keeping the internal lint filter completely clean before every load helps protect sensitive internal heating sensors and igniter assemblies from overheating. We want to help ensure your laundry setup operates perfectly and comfortably for your household. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com if you need further support. ^James

Keep it dry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW !!!! I can’t believe this dryer. It has a much larger capacity than the old one. It does an excellent job with bedspreads that I normally have to take to a laundromat to get a bigger dryer. This is great and it’s very quiet. Great investment.

Great dryer at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer for my mother at the beginning of this month and had had it for about three weeks now. We love it. It is quiet and dries the clothes completely. I was a little skeptical at first given some of the reviews, but we have found none of the problems have been our experience. This dryers moisture sensor technology has performed flawlessly. The first time we used it, we were surprised at how quickly the drying cycle completed. We were sure the clothes would be damp and we would have to run the cycle again. Not true. They were completely dry. The large capacity drum has been very helpful. Some of the reviews state objection to the cycle completion tune being too offensive. We had no problem with the tune nor felt it was too loud. We are pleased with the drying setting choices and find them to be adequate for our needs. Over all we are very pleased with our LG DLE6100W Dryer and complement LG on the design. We highly recommend this dryer based on performance, features and price.

Sorriest dryer ever

Bought this dryer brand new. No one hooked it up after I paid for it to be so I had to find someone myself. Got it finally hooked up and it does come on but will not run. I’ve had the dryer almost a month and it hasn’t worked yet. I’ve delt with LG and still haven’t gotten anyone to come check it or bring me a new one. I can’t get my money back so it seems like I’m stuck. Please don’t waste your money on this hunk of junk. That’s all it is

Good Value and Efficient

I specifically selected LG because of their high ratings when it comes to appliances. Overall, I am pleased with it and it works well. It is a bit noisy which is more noticeable since it is in a closeted area right next to my living room so the TV volume has to be cranked up when it's running, but overall, compared to my other dryer, this one iw great.

Poor Drying

Since it was delivered the sensor in the dryer has not functioned as it should. Even when put on Very dry it will frequently leave them damp. LG sent a service man, he stood over it for 30 minutes, declared all worked right and left. It still does not dry well on any of the preset settings, Normal, Permanent press, etc. He said we just have to use timed dry!!! Then why is there a sensor??? Not happy with LG or the dryer.

Hello. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLE6100W Dryer. We recognize the situation you have faced with the sensor cycles leaving items damp and the general drying performance of your unit. To help improve the sensor accuracy, we recommend wiping down the metal sensor bars inside the drum with a damp cloth and a little rubbing alcohol to remove any residual fabric softener buildup, as well as keeping your load sizes consistent. For more targeted troubleshooting to improve your drying results, please visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-why-is-my-dryer-not-heating-not-drying-or-taking-a-long-time-drying--1432223739634?srsltid=AfmBOopYcY1Ah4_thVtvMrvnxOM67GwoT0WDyA7lbrWflj-Iex2vJptL. My dryer: I like it a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few weeks ago our very old gas dryer gave up the ghost, so. . .already having an LG washer, and being very pleased with it, we bought the LG electric dryer because of LG’s reputation and reviews. . .and our experience with the washer. The dryer works well, but takes a longer time to dry than the 20 year old gas dryer. Other than that, it’s simple to operate, has a satisfactory capacity, and cheaper to operate (for me because I have solar panels on my roof). I hope it will be better for the environment as well.
