We’ve been through several mattress trials and the Series 4 Firm PT is outstanding

Amazing, supportive, quality mattress.

Replaced a world class mattresss from 9 years ago with the series 4 black and have never had a better night sleep!!

I am beyond pleased with my new beauty rest. I have layed on Hastens and Hypnos mattresses and this is nothing short of the same quality and comfortability. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever layed on and don’t doubt I will have it for the next 15 years.

I will start off by saying this is a very high quality mattress, I can tell just by the materials, there are 13 layers including the coil system. The upper layers include the pillow top and the cooling layers are just below. It has a very soft, silky feeling pillow top (you'll sleep on a sheet so it doesn't matter too much. The mattress description claims: a lush, firm summit pillow top feel, this mattress features Triple-Stranded Pocketed Coil® Technology, exclusive temperature management, premium foam upgrades for enhanced cooling and immediate pressure relief, and 4K Nano Coils for our most premium individualized support and motion separation. So I tested each of these. (1) Motion isolation: as shown in the video, this mattress has great motion isolation. It's not 100%, it's also a queen bed not a king bed so you can't expect full motion isolation. However with the glass test, the glass didn't fall and barely moved when I was jumping on one side of the bed. (2) Temperature regulation: this mattress does have a cooling effect, it doesn't last the entire night but it's comparable to other cooling mattresses. (3) Edge support: with pillow top mattresses edge support is a hit or miss, this mattress has really good edge support (maybe because it's firm). For me, this is the most important because I like to sleep right at the edge and I didn't feel like I was slipping at all at night. Overall comfort: this mattress is comfortable IF you like sleeping on your back. People like my husband, who only sleep on their sides might find this painful on the arm that is being slept on. Overall review: this mattress isn't for exclusive side or stomach sleepers, it gets quite painful, however if you're a back sleeper or only roll onto side or stomach for short periods of time, this is a great mattress option. It will keep you cool at night and supported on the side. From the quality and heaviness of the mattress, I would say it will last you a lifetime. Mattresses are quite personal so it's best to try it out at a store and see if it works for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Beautyrest Black 2024 Line 4 Firm Pillow Top Mattress is beyond comfortable. I am a back sleeper and I have woken up feeling refreshed and fully rested. I am a big guy, and the support the firm mattress gives me is unparalleled. This mattress weighs a ton, and the quality of the materials is top notch. I don't wake up in the middle of the night, so I must be comfortable and breathability is optimal. As far as value, this is a top shelf mattress, so you will be paying a premium for such an experience. You spend a third of your life in bed, why not treat yourself and take care of your body?

After our previous Beautyrest mattress failed, we got the black in series 3, firm. My husband and I bought it about 3-4 months ago. Long story short, it failed. There are two dents in the bed from us. Had the inspector come today and confirm the mattress had failed. It also is advertised as "firm", but is a "medium". Even as a medium, there should not be two big dents in the bed now. Beautyrest quality has drastically declined, and the beds are mostly stuffed with soft garbage, it seems. We are done with this brand. This is sad, because it once was a coveted mattress brand. Now they just produce trash that fails. We will be going to a private and local mattress company. Will be getting a simple, no frills mattress. Zero padding and definitely no pillow top. A firm, old-fashioned mattress is the best. I thought this bed would be it, but I should have known it had too much padding. I would definitely consider an old Beautyrest model, if still sold as new. Note: we are average weight people, and the bed looks like two cows slept in it. He is 6+ft/200, I am 5'4/125.

This mattress is very comfortable it conforms to your body and takes the stress off of the pressure points to provide a relaxing and restful sleep. Also the temperature regulation keeps you at a comfortable temperature and the motion regulation is wonderful if you share your bed with a partner. I have not felt my spouse moving around in the bed as he flips from his back to his stomach through the night therefore providing me with much more restful nights sleep. This product is definitely made very well and I definitely would recommend it. I chose the firm pillow top and I absolutely love it. After trying 3 beds from my local mattress store I finally gave up and went to Macys’s where I found this luxury Beauty Rest firm mattress. I have spinal fusions and chronic back pain and have had this bed 5 days and in absolute sleep heaven. I wake up with no back pain and can sleep comfortably on my back or side. This mattress is worth every penny if you want support and comfort.
