[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mattress is comfortable enough, but extremely heavy. It is most difficult to lift while placing a fitted mattress protector and fitted sheet. I wish I would have be appraised of this in the store. It is not practical for anyone with ordinary strength. I noticed the delivery men even had difficulty lifting it to remove the plastic covering. What do you suggest?

Our first mattress from Stearns and Foster was a queen Cassatt. It was defective. One side had coils sticking poking through the top layers and the pillow top was bunching up. We got a refund and purchased a lux estate queen. It was also defective with almost the same problems as the first. I couldn't be more disappointed and honestly surprised. This brand should be better than this.

From the first night we tried to sleep on our Lux Estate Pillow top firm, to the 30 th day of trial, I have experienced great discomfort and no support from the mattress. We "sunk" into the firm pillow top and found it uncomfortable -non-supportive- of my back or hips. Each night we sink into the still sunken area of the bed, which makes it difficult to change position to find some relief of my increasing discomfort. I have required physical therapy weekly to treat the increased pain in my hips and upper back, (this condition was tolerable prior to the use of the new mattress). 50% of the time I resort to sleeping on an extra mattress we have in our guest room so that I can get a comfortable sleep. Our mattress is being evaluated as defective. No matter what the determination, we are exchanging this mattress for a different Stearns and Foster mattress-not another Lux Estate Pillow top firm model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress proved to be excellent for my back. I was skeptical for the ultra firmness but it proved that this is what I wanted. I do not use a spring box and I have it on the floor (sleep with my 2yr son). It helped my back pain disappear and it is highly recommended if you are sleeping on your back. Granted, I'm not able to sleep on my stomach any more but I do not care. It is a thick mattress that adds several inches clearance from the ground. Sitting on the edge doesn't create an issue i.e. it doesn't sank in. It may take a couple of days to adjust to it but I will never go back.

The mattress is only a few months old and already sags over an inch in middle. Company will not do anything about it cause it has to sag at least 2 inches. Thousands of dollars down the drain! Save your $$ and go a different route.!!

After only a few days of sleeping on our new Lux Estate mattress my wife and I don't get out of bed feeling crippled and body ached as we did with our old mattress. Sleeping has been deep. What a relief!

I was told that it might take 30 days for my body to adjust to the new mattress. It took all of 30seconds! Best nights sleeps I've had in a long time. I had done some research and Sterns and Foster is highly rated.

We've had this mattress for 2 weeks, so far, so good. We've been sleeping much better and no aches and pains upon waking. We believe the pillow top is key. After looking at and testing several mattresses, we are happy with this purchase.
