This is our 1st Stearns and Foster mattress. We are extremely pleased with the quality and comfort of the mattress. We previously had a "hybrid" mattress and wanted something a bit more sturdy and a bit more firm - we found that with the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate Tight-Top Medium. As senior citizens, we wanted something that is firm, but not too firm - this mattress fits the bill! Although a bit pricey, we are hoping the mattress will give us several years of restful sleep.

Before I got it, I was always tossing and turning and waking up soaked in sweat but now I fall into a dead sleep and have no more night sweats!! I don't wake up so sore anymore either. Great at first but didn't last long... The depressions where we've slept are so bad that it's impossible to slept anywhere else. We always end up back in the depressions. Over time, it's gotten worse and worse and worse. We also got the adjustable base. It's so poorly crafted that we feel every movement all night long. We've had 17 months and we're already replacing. 4K down the drain for a crappy mattress and adjustable bar. Save you money and shop elsewhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I went from a king size bed to this queen size bed so we had to get used to sleeping that close to each other again, but after we got used to that I slept SO GOOD. I feel like the mattress adjust to my body perfectly giving me amazing support no matter which way I laid. The plush pillow top makes me feel like I am laying on a marshmallow cloud, it is so soft, but the mid firm layer under helped keep me from feeling like I was sinking down to far.

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. It's a win for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect fit for my husband and I! I had sciatica from our former mattress and my husband is prone to back problems. This mattress fixed it all! We are finally able to get the best sleep we've had in years. We look forward to going to bed and "melting" into our new S&F mattress.

We made the mistake of going cheap and ordering a "highly rated" bed-in-a-box mattress sight unseen from another company and it was awful. We quickly returned that one and decided to get more serious and went in-store to try out some other mattress options. After many exhaustive options we finally landed on the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate, pillowtop firm. Still, it's hard to judge a mattress just from a quick 5 minute test in a store with sales people hounding you. I am here to say that we've now had our mattress for a full week and it's seriously the most amazing mattress I think I've ever slept on in my life. I will sound like an advertisement, but I also noticed my ongoing neck and shoulder pain has also disappeared. It's a splurge and an investment but so happy we made the upgrade.

Was told this was a great mattress and maybe it is for a single person who is 90 lbs. My spouse and I sleep close to each other and we sink. It is very uncomfortable to wake up in the middle of the night and feel like we are in a hole. We have more than one home so by the time we figured out how uncomfortable I was past the time to exchange. After 15 months we can't take it. Currently buying a new mattress and buying a new bed frame so I can move our bed to the guest room. Waste of money for sure.

With the Advance Motion adjustable base I can elevate my feet to reduce swelling. I love the soft feel of the mattress. It seems to fit my body and it is comfortable to sleep on. I don't love the depressions. They feel like there is a hole in the mattress. I don't love the rounded top. When I sit on the edge, it feels like I am going to slide off. I could lower the frame, but then I wouldn't be able to store plastic tubs underneath like my former mattress. i am looking forward to getting used to this mattress.

Purchased another Stearns mattress and within 6 months it sank 2", I had to file a claim and this is the second one I purchased. The other was discontinued so I was at first worried about a firm pillow top that my store had but one nights sleep was good. I have severe back pain and needing a hip replacement in 2 months. So far feels great. Wasn't too firm. Comfortable to sleep in. Hoping this one will last! Can't say yet if it helps with pain because I'm in a lot of pain but I know the last one was great at first.
