Our first Tempurpedic mattress was 19 years old, and the "original" memory foam mattress. We started shopping, looking at the "competitors". Then we said, "We know we love our Tempurpedic, so why switch?". After calling Tempurpedic and telling them we wanted the "exact same" support as our first mattress, they pointed us to the Proadapt firm. The first night, I couldn't sleep and thought we had made a bad decision. The second night, to today, sleep is amazing. No waking up sore or achy. My husband and I both have back issues, his are worse. Since we purchased our first Tempurpedic, his back has been so much better. Can't brag on this mattress enough! Beware, it is REALLY FIRM!

Now, I'm really glad I made this kind of investment on my personal health. I work in the medical field and I know all about taking care of your back, and what happens when you don't.

This is our second mattress, so anyone can see we are not buying any other brand. Our grandkids love to take naps on our mattress. Just try the Tempus-pedic, all you aches and pains will go away. My husband has had back surgery, we both have arthritis issues. My advice is pay the extra money and get a product which you will enjoy for many. many years.

I would give this 5 stars for comfort but am disappointed at how hot it gets in the summer. Of course I am offered an upgrade to the cool breeze if I want to spend another $1000. Disappointing that for as much as this mattress was that it sleeps so hot. Can not beat the comfort though, and since I live in a cooler climate the bed is perfect for half the year. My back pain has disappeared.

We checked out the pro adapt at a local furniture store and decided that the firm has just the right amount of softness for us. We compared it to the medium pro adapt which we thought was too soft. All said and done, the firm that we ordered directly from Tempur-pedic has absolutely no softness unlike the one that was in the local furniture store. It is like sleeping on a rock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Go for this one if you like a really firm mattress good for your back! It's still soft enough to form to your body. I sleep very well on it now compared to any other mattress. Next one I get will be a super soft extra plush :)

I feel like I am laying on a hard platform. It's uncomfortable and it feels no cooler than a regular mattress. I paid cash for the total purchase and we are thinking about taking it back. There has to be a better product because this mattress is terrible.

I believe that owning a Tempur-Pedic mattress and pillow that is the right one for you is the key to achieving a restful night sleep and pain free. I no longer have to go for a biweekly massage that, oftentimes, only causes more neck and back pain. What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME! We purchased king mattress and ease twin xl bases. Somewhat expensive but so far so good. Still getting used to our new bed, but so far feel really comfortable and very cozy. We like it; our 2,dogs also love it. Was easy to install and easy to operate and we are sleeping cool and nice. We now could watch tv without compromising our necks.

On this mattress, if my muscles are tired form working out, I seem to be able to relax more and float off into sleep with out feeling any contact with the bed itself! I love this hybrid and wish I had gotten one sooner! Brenda
