I've been sleeping on my Tempur-ProAdapt soft for a month now and I love it! I decided on the soft because I am a petite 110lbs and figured I would not get the true cushy benefit on a medium or firm. So far it is perfect and I noticed right away the first night that when I get into position I stay there almost all night! I used to toss and turn and always had shoulder pain and hip pain. My back feels great when I wake so even though it's soft it's supportive. Had a frozen shoulder in the past from bad position sleeping on a regular mattress. Decided to splurge on this bed to benefit my health. I also purchased the adjustable base to complete the experience! Only downside was strong chemical odor from the mattress for the first few weeks. I stripped the bed everyday and opened the window to allow it to air out. Now today 4 weeks later it is very minimal, I'm sure it will dissipate completely soon.

I had a 22 year old Tempur pedic mattress and for about a year I was waking up with a back ache. It goes away after I start moving around. I thought I should get a new mattress. It is a very hard decision to make when you pick out a mattress. I'm still not convinced that I have made the right choice and I still don't know if I should return it. I still wake up with pain, but it's not as bad. I have no pain while I sleep and no pain during the day after the pain goes away in the morning.

Was hesitant getting another foam mattress, especially one that would set us back thousands - especially since we had just had a hybrid foam/spring mattress from a different manufacturer fail on us within 5 years. We went with the brand name and reputation with this purchase and you really are getting what you paid for. We got this in a Cal King and it has been just under 30 days since we've had it delivered. The first few days were rough with our bodies adjusting to this great mattress, but now I look forward to lying down each night and feeling my body supported by the firm mattress. As soon as I get in bed and lie on my back,I feel the support where I need it and will sometimes feel my back cracking from the pressure relief of the mattress. I'm an average sized guy 5'10" and my wife is smaller framed 5'4" and we both wake up now with no pain as we had in our last bed. In true Tempur-pedic fashion, we don't feel each other get in bed since we sometimes have opposing schedules due to shift work. We sleep through the night undisturbed. We still need to get use to very little give when getting in bed for the first time each night and not feeling that initial bounce. This is a FIRM mattress and is the firmest we've found, even compared to traditional spring mattresses. Time will tell though, as the displays we've seen of this mattress in stores feel a tad softer than what we've got - but still firm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first tempurpedic in 1997 after i lost my house in a flood. Had it until my divorce in 2015, she kept the mattress somehow. Did not get restful sleep until I GOT MY NEW MATTRESS and have been sleeping soundly ever since. My new one is better than my old one. Coupled with the adjustable base and I don't snore as bad, no sore throat when i wake up. If you want a good nights sleep this is it. I don't even get up to go to the bathroom 3 times a night anymore. I suspect discomfort was waking me, vacating my bladder allowed my joints to get back in alignment so I could go back to sleep every night. Now if I wake up I really do have to go. I'm a light (110 lbs) side sleeper with mild lower back pain. Initially I bought the classic medium thinking it would be the best fit for my needs, however within a few weeks it felt like it was sinking so I exchanged it for the Pro Adopt Firm. At first I thought I made a huge mistake because it felt like I was sleeping on a board and gave me shoulder pain but after 3 months it is a dream!! I was worried it would continue to bother my shoulders but now I don't have any pain with all the comfort of a firm mattress. If you like a firm mattress and have lower back pain this is for you but you must give it the full 90 days to adapt to your body. It's a firm cloud that will last!

First few months it was great, but it's aged even more poorly than your average mattress and we seriously regret spending up for what we thought would be a quality product made to last. We did not buy the matching foundation, but our wood slats are well within the provided guidelines. Submitted a warranty claim, and until sag is bad enough you can see a full inch of sag without someone physically on the mattress they will not replace. Go with a cheaper option, you're not buying the product you think here.

From the first night on this mattress, my sleep was totally different. I sleep through the night even though I live right next to a train track that runs all night. My cat jumps on and off the bed during the night and that doesn't disturb me anymore, either. My back is feeling better than ever. I had done a lot of research and was back-and-forth on whether to get a Tempur Pedic or Purple mattress, and I feel like I made the right choice to go with Tempur Pedic. I love everything about this mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the hunt for a new mattress when Tempur-Pedic sent me this one for free in exchange for an honest review. My husband and I both prefer a soft mattress and we were excited to give this one a shot. It did not disappoint! While it seemed fairly firm at first, it relaxed over a couple of days to become super cozy while still being supportive. (It also took a couple of days to lose the factory scent, but it was never too bad and I just left the window open the first day.) When you lie down, your body slowly sinks into the foam top until you are perfectly supported. I sleep on my stomach and my husband sleeps on his back and we are both feeling fresh in the mornings. We have been sleeping on this mattress for a couple of weeks and we are pretty happy. My one gripe is that the top is very smooth and my sheets will occasionally slip right off over the corners, but it's not an issue I would deduct any stars for. Fresh sheets feel nice and crisp over the smooth surface. It's very warm out but the mattress seems to stay fairly cool. If you like a soft bed, give this one a shot!

We purchased our Tempur Adapt Medium Hybird about a month ago and it still doesn't feel like it did in the store. I have been suffering from lower back pain while sleeping for about 10 years, and after trying many other mattress, including running the gambit of online companies, we figured we would bite the bullet and pay for a top of the line mattress. I was hoping that with all the hype and great reviews, we'd get what we paid for...the best nights sleep money can buy. But I'm still experiencing the same lower back pain I had on mattresses 1/3 of the price.
