It has only been a few weeks so we are still deciding. We may move to a medium support mattress. It has been an adjustment from our older Tempurpedic because this one is higher. We are also having difficulty with our high end mattress cover being slippery. We switched from our high thread count smooth sheets to percale to see if the bottom sheet will stay in place better. In general, we love Tempupedic. There are adjustments we need to make in this transition from a 2007 mattress to 2019.

I wasn't sure about how long the "break in period" would take but after two weeks of sleeping on the mattress, I began to feel the difference and sleep better and better. I thought I bought the wrong firmness but after the 4th week, I knew I made the correct choice. After sleeping on other types of memory foam mattresses for over 10 years, I am totally convinced there is nothing better than my Tempur-ProAdapt. I will never go back to those other types and brands. Thank you Tempur-Pedic for giving me "The Best" mattress I've ever owned. Know more back pains or waking up several times in the night. I can't think of one thing I don't like or am sorry I spent a little more for a Tempur-Pedic. This is a quality product!

So my ultimate heaven of a mattress has had a long back story. I started with the cloud - and I liked it ok (definitely is soft) but it was not supportive enough (I have back pain). I returned it online and then bought the Adapt Medium Hybrid from their Tysons Virginia store. It was excruciating to deal with their online support people and when the delivery company finally came (after a lot of back and forth with Tempur customer service) the company told me they have no documentation about needing to pick up the old mattress (after my confirming with the Tempur multiple times) but they were willing to take it away - after giving them an extra $40 on the side! So - the adapt hybrid helped my back but my shoulder started hurting, I wasn't wild about the bounce, but I would have kept it if it wasn't causing pain- I had it for a couple of weeks tried a topper (helped my shoulder but then my back would hurt). Because I had done a return to online and purchase in store, and my family knew of the bed difficulties, I was offered the additional money as a birthday present and bought the Pro-adapt Medium (which felt perfect when I tried it in the store). I started reading these reviews only after ordering and was terrified it would be too hard given all the reviews. But - it came at last yesterday, at first it was ok but a little firm (and very cold) - I sped up the softening by adding an electric blanket for a few hours. And I have to say this bed is THE BOMB. I'm on a tight budget, and I really think Sealy could easily perform some obvious belt tightening (their processes are necessarily cumbersome, outmoded and there seem to be countless people employed who are rather unhelpful (honestly clueless and useless and I don't say this lightly). But after all the frustration, and the insane amount of money they charge (plus the 2xs paying their obnoxious $175) I can say the Pro-Adapt Medium is worth it - it is truly a doughy oasis - no pain at all - perfect softness and yumminess, but also supportive.

From the start, I began sleeping through the night. Further, I no longer have pain in my left hip during the night. Other than that, the mattress is such a pleasure to sleep on, soft and sweet in the right places and firm and comfortable where it should be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, one week into the "soft" model mattress. First few days quite uncomfortable. Seemed to be as hard as a sidewalk. After reading suggestions online, we started walking around on it several times a day. Now it seems a "little" better. Time will tell. Sales people should tell you it will take quite a while to get comfortable to sleep on. Maybe as long as a month or two we are now told. Soft is not "soft" as we have found out. Be careful as most display models in stores are months old with scores of people trying out. The one you buy will be very different for quite a while

We fell in love with this mattress in the store. When ours was delivered to us it was so stiff. When my husband gets in bed I roll to the middle. I've had Tempur-pedic before and absolutely loved it but this one is not as good. We've had it for two months hoping it would break in but not much improvement.

This is my second Tempur-Pedic. The mattress delivered is completely unlike the version I tested in a Tempur-Pedic showroom. It is as hard as a rock. My backache this morning is painful. My online sales receipt says "ProAdapt" but does not specify ProAdapt or ProAdapt 1.0 or Pro Adapt 2.0. Yes, I was confused when the warranty drop down gave those 3 choices. The tag on my mattress says 2.0. How was I to know there is more than one version? I am told by customer service I probably tried an older version. 2.0 is currently being shipped. Nothing can be done until the 30 night trial is over. So, I am supposed to be sleep deprived for 30 nights, on this brick that was delivered to my house? I am not interested in letting the mattress confirm to my body or breaking it in. Thank you, Tempur-Pedic for the worst night's' I can remember. Fortunately, I kept my old mattress to give to a women's shelter. Unfortunately, they will not be getting it because the old mattress from 2006 is by far better than this misrepresentation.

Our original tempurpedic lasted 15 years before getting worn. We bought another brand foam mattress at a lower cost. Started having backaches and sciatic nerve issues. After 88 nights returned it and got our new Tempurpedic. Instant relief and felt like our original tempur when it was new. Will never own anything else. These firm mattresses are wonderful.

After struggling to sleep through the night for the past few years due to hot flashes and restlessness from hip & back pain, we decided to invest in the Tempur-ProAdapt cooling bed and it was worth it! I have been sleeping through the night for the first time in over a year. No more waking up hot and the Zero G feature has changed our sleep pattern so much, no more tossing and turning or pain in our backs & hips. We wake up each morning amazed at the amount of uninterrupted sleep we are getting! I had almost lost hope on a good nights sleep but I am glad we decided to invest in this bed. Highly recommended!

The Pro Adapt Soft mattress I have sleeps hot, despite following all of the advice from customer service reps. I am petite, under 120 lbs, and over 70. I am also experiencing tingling and pressure when I lie on this mattress. I want to love my mattress and give great reviews, but I am dealing with a dead end. Comfort level is not covered in warranty according to the company. Alan I need your help.
