I have the latest Michelin IceX and if anything, traction and grip seem not as good as previous versions of this tire. I drive an Audi All Road and am surprised, this winter, when I go around a corner at a reasonable speed and experience some fish tailing. These tires work very well in snow and ice on my 07 Honda pilot. I've noticed great stopping performance, smooth & very little road noise. But despite excellent winter performance I had the scare of my life with these tires due their hydroplaning performance! I was caught on a sudden rain storm passing through CT and my vehicle almost hydroplaned twice despite driving under the speed limit due to bad weather. I don't recommend these if you live in places where rain storms are common in winter, these tire shine in very cold temperatures, snow and ice.
