MM cream cheese

I have bought this cream cheese several times to use for chip dip. It is not nearly as tasty as Philadelphia Brand. A lot of times, it has water inside the brick of cheese. Then one other important issue I have is the packaging, the foil wrap Members Mark uses is junk. It rips easily and hard to get the cream cheese out of without a mess, and if you do try to use it on a bagel, beware of the possibility of getting a piece of that foil wrap on your bagel. I think I'll just stay with Philadelphia unless we are having a big party and need dip again to save a little money. I do not recommend. I hope Sams starts selling Philly brand again.

I always bought Philly cream cheese but with the economy the way it is and the way prices have skyrocketed, and I do mean skyrocketed, when it cost 0.99 a bar, on sale, it has gone almost $3 which is outrageous. I've tried buying several store brands And for the most part when you open them It doesn't open clean and there's cream cheese all over the place. Member's Mark brand does not do that and it's Just like Philly cream cheese I will continue to buy Member's Mark instead of trying to find Philly on sale. Retailers and manufacturers just don't get it. With just that increase and the increase on all other products, the electric bills have almost doubled, Gasoline prices, except at election time, people just cannot afford to buy groceries like they used to.

I used it to make buffalo chicken dip and it wouldn't melt correctly. It stayed lumpy and I had to stir it pretty aggressively to get it to mix in. It also doesn't taste nearly as good as Philly does. I wish you guys would stop trying to make everything members mark. Some things just don't work.

A perfect example of Sam's trying to recreate a brand for their Member's Mark store - and failing. This cream cheese might "look" like Philadelphia Cream Cheese and "feel" like Philadelphia Cream Cheese, but it does NOT "taste" like Philadelphia Cream Cheese. The taste quickly evolves into a flat kind of "processed" taste and is totally missing the creamy, TANGY, CHEESEY taste of Philly. I guess you could use it for cooking altho I don't know if the taste would be altered somewhat, but definately don't spread it on a bagel.... its not good.

I was forced to by this when Sams quit selling the actual Philadelphia Cream Cheese brand and the difference is incredible!!! Member's Mark is mushy and sticky compared to the solid bricks of Philadelphia Brand... I have been so disappointed since they quit selling the best brand and started selling their Member's Mark sticky messy version of cream cheese.... I HOPE they bring back the original brand! PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese is thousands of times better in so many ways!

I went to Sam's Club for regular shopping and was going to get some Philadelphia Cream Cheese bricks because my sister asked me to make our family traditional cheeseball for Easter and that's tomorrow. Sam's did not have the Philadelphia that I needed so I reluctantly purchased the Member's Mark brand. This store brand tastes nothing like Philadelphia cream cheese, it has a notceably less appealing flavor. I hope my sister is not too disappointed because I no longer have time to go elsewhere to get the correct branded ingredients. I am so unhappy to be arriving with this mediocre cream cheese flavored snack.

I am generally satisfied with Members Mark products, but I am VERY disappointed in this product. It is definitely inferior to Philadelphia Cream Cheese in both flavor and texture. I would NEVER use it on a bagel or in a cheesecake. Fingers crossed that Sam's Club will bring back Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Otherwise, I will be buying my cream cheese elsewhere. <sigh>
