FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE THAT ARE DUMB, LOOK AT THE FRONT OF YOUR SPEAKER AND LOOK DOWN FOR THE LIGHTS ON THE FRONT THAT IS YOUR BATTERY METER.

Works but lacks feature to connect to other speakers. And the charging brick IS the speaker. We have used it to charge our phones while playing music just fine. Sound quality is good. Would be 5 stars if it would connect to other JBL speakers like the flip.

This company makes great products! I am a mailman and currently use the JBL Flip 4 for everyday use. I'm about to purchase the flip essential because I know how reliable it will be. Plus for the size of the speakers the bass is incredible, the charge always lasts a long time, and they are waterproof and durable. I've dropped mine several times and it works just fine LOL
