We purchased this chair 3 1/2 years ago and the "leather" is peeling off like bad wallpaper. It is not leather, it is "bonded" leather which means fake leather made like pressed wood is made. Research bonded leather and it will tell you it will start coming apart in 2-5 years. Would not have wasted our money on this chair. Went out today and bought a 100% top grain leather chair like this and it will last a long, long time longer than this one did (granted it was more expensive but if you account for this chair needing replaced every 3 years or so a real leather one is worth the higher cost up front. Notice in all of the descriptions it states "Braxton Leather Recliner"....read the fine print to find out it is bonded leather (which still leads you to believe it is real leather). We didn't understand the "bonded" leather thing and thought we were buying a real leather chair.

This chair looks really nice and seems to be good quality, and maybe ours is a one-off; but it is almost impossible to get it to recline! I have to get both my feet in the seat and kind of jump against the back to recline to the first position - which is nice but not a REAL relaxing amount of leaning back. If I want to lean all the way back (which is pretty nice), I have to push against the foot rest the entire time with my feet to keep the back down in that position. NOT the MOST relaxed I've ever been in a recliner... The upside is, when I want to sit up - I can just take my feet off and I go back to the first reclined spot. And when I want to sit up (which is VERY straight, btw), I just barely lean forward and I'm up like a shot! All in all, at least for our experience, this is NOT a relaxing recliner at all. I called Member's Mark member services and they were wonderful to already take care of us with no trouble at all. I'm disappointed, though, in my chair... it looks nice in my den but now I have to find something else I actually enjoy sitting in!

We purchased 2 of these for our library. They are very comfortable and easy to put together (yes, some assembly required - but no tools)! We had one leg that looks to be cracked but otherwise, all are functional and the chairs are very comfortable and look great!

I ordered this online and it didn’t take long to be delivered. My husband put it together and complained that the instructions were terrible. He eventually figured it out and it got put together. It’s relatively small which is fine for me since I’m 5’4”. My major complaint is that it is very hard to push it into the reclining position. The is no lever or button. You have to brace your hands against the arms of the chair and push hard. I do not recommend this chair to a weak person. It is fairly comfortable.

The ONLY reason Im even giving this chair 2 stars is because the leather has held up surprisingly well. We purchased 2 of these in May of 2019 and both are going to end up in the dump this week. The frame of both of these chairs is falling apart. Springs have literally come out of the bottom of both of the chairs we purchased. Ive had to tighten the bolts in the chairs probably 10 times in 2 years. They both squeak horribly with any movement and no amount of oiling the mechanism will make it stop for longer than a day or 2. Both chairs now have a permanent lean to one side when reclined as well. It's really too bad because they look nice and the leather actually seems to be of a decent quality.

This recliner is made of an inexpensive bonded leather (hence the low price) - but it recliner looks great and it's fairly small as recliners go - which was important factor for the space I wanted to use it. It was easy to put together (comes in two parts - back attaches to chair base) and sits well . . . but if you actually want to recline - do not get this one! 1) It doesn't recline all the way (suppine/flat on back) - at best I'd guess it goes back maybe 120-130 degree. Of course, a lot of recliners don't actually lay flat, so that may not be a problem for you - BUT . . . 2) It won't stay in a reclined position! I push back as far as it will go and it simply won't hold the position. Other's' have made the same observation, so it's got to be a design flaw. In order to stay in the reclined position, I have to push back and the shift my entire body up high onto the back of the chair, and even then it feels tenuous at best - like I'm constantly having to fight to keep it from moving back to the upright position. So be forewarned . . . this chair looks nice if you want a chair - but don't buy it if you actually want to recline. Recliner's are for relaxing - but this one is more like a workout.

This is an overpriced item, again advertised as Leather in the title when it is bonded leather. It is NOT a "shocking value" as it is just a fabric chair. "Bonded leather, also called reconstituted leather or blended leather, is a term used for a man-made upholstery material made as a layered structure of a fiber or paper backer, a pulp made from shredded leather, and a polyurethane coating which is embossed with a leather-like texture."

I bought this a couple of months ago for a family room that needed a small chair. The chair is the perfect size for the area I wanted. The push back does not use a handle but pushes with your feet, which is okay for us. The leather is not plush, but stiffer then our other family room furniture , but works for the area. The color is exactly the same as what comes up on my I-Pad. If you have children I would not purchase this, they probably need something tougher.

I measured my old recliner and the width was about the same so I ordered it. When I received it I was surprised how small it was. It’s comfortable for it’ size but for a very small person. I am 5’11” and 205 pounds and feel like I’m a giant when I sit in it and my feet hang way past the foot rest when reclined. My advice would be to measure carefully before ordering this chair.

I tried this recliner at Sam's Club, but they only had it in black. I went online and found the red.The red was perfect for my sunroom. It is very comfortable. My daughter and son-in-law tried it out while visiting and they both found this recliner comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I have only had this for about a month.
