I got this chair about a month ago. I quickly opened it up and found everything in the box to be securely packed together so all pieces of the chair were protected. I pulled out the instructions....and realized that "there was a lack of instruction". I continued to just go for it and put together, wasn't terribly hard to do so that was a relief. The little legs, which are two different types for front and back,made me pause and hope that I put them on correct. The only other thing that I had trouble with was the backing of the chair. I will have to check to see if I just didn't push it down right when putting the back on but the velcro that you bring under the chair to close it wouldn't reach. The recliner mechanics are smooth and it makes a great addition as an accent chair.

At first I really loved this chair. The chair came packaged really, really well. The box it came in was beat up so I was initially really worried. But when I opened it up, the bottom and the back of the chair was wrapped in a dense plastic that protected the leather perfectly. The instructions were a little too vague though. It was only one sheet and just a picture of the back sliding into the base of the chair. Unfortunately, there are 4 small legs that come with it, 2 of which are straight and 2 that are curved. The assembly instructions didn't include them anywhere in the diagram. I was able to look only and figure out where they went easily enough. The chair is considerably smaller than the large oversized fabric recliner that I had in its place. I am a bigger guy (almost 6'1”) and it took a few days to adjust to the smaller sized chair. It is VERY comfortable though. I've now had it for a few weeks and the chair no longer closes completely. If I stand up and pull the back of the chair forward while pushing in the foot rest I am able to get it closed and it will stay. However, if I am sitting in the chair and want to close it, the foot rest will not close completely. It stays kicked out by about an inch. It is barely noticeable, but it is still a little disappointing. Overall, I think this recliner is a great value and a great buy.

I got this chair about a month ago and it's pretty comfortable. It has a nice look to it and looks exactly like the picture so I wasn't disappointed. It is a little on the small side like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, but I'm about 5 ft 6 and it doesn't seem to be an issue for me, but it did take some getting used to since its smaller than the recliner it was replacing. I was surprised with how full the cushions were on the seat and back. They almost seemed too full at first and I was afraid it was going to be too much but they actually are very nice and it makes it seems much softer than other leather recliners that I have had in the past. Overall, I'm very pleased with this chair.

Love the chairs (got 2). Good size for a small area. They look great! Only issue is the recline position is a bit “straight”. Not sure how to say it. But it's not a return reason. If you have an opportunity sit in one. Recline. Chances are you'd still purchase.

There's a reason why it's inexpensive. It's on the smaller side and the foot rest is oddly short and hard to activate. It's hard to judge the size of the chair in the picture without a person sitting in it or other furniture around. It doesn't look bad as a smaller accent chair, though.

It is really good and so comfortable.The leather is not so thick and supports the back and arms well..the look of the chair was awesome..It's the one which is more sophisticated with its glossy leather..it's not so large easily gets fit into some pretty tight spaces due to its simplified design and looks great.. We like this chair very much..seat is firm and comfy enough.No squeaky noises when moving around seated in chair..no odors from the chair..pushing the recliner foot rest back into place is little difficult and requires strong hamstrings..leaning down on the arms can feel the wood underneath. Overall it's perfect to place in a living room..best price to buy a good quality leather recliner...

We ordered this item on November 8th and it arrived November 25th. I find the chair to be comfortable, well built and sturdy. The red is a marbled red with brown undertones. It's not bright, but quite subdued shade. It's a compact recliner (it is on the small side, but check the dimensions they clearly state how big the chair is). In our case we were specifically looking for a recliner to fit in a tight spot but I see some reviews claim it's small when in fact it's exactly as big as stated. The reason for giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that when we got it one of the legs was cracked. I've contacted Abbyson customer service and after sending them photos they've promised to ship us a replacement leg.

I was really impressed when I received this chair, not at all what I expected. Was packaged good and tight so there were no damages due to shipping and when unpacked, the chair went together very easily. Attach the back to the seat and screw in the legs, thats it all done! The covering is very soft high quality leather with tasteful design. No levers to make it recline, just push back. Very smooth transition to the reclining position, not jerky like a lot of recliners in this price range. It does seem to be made for the shorter person, someone who is 6ft or better probably would not be comfortable. I am 5'7" and the end of the footstool in the reclining position hits me just above the ankle. But if you want a high quality recliner for such a great value this should be once of the choices, unless you're really tall

Loved both chairs when we received them and assembly was a breeze. Love the color, however, after sitting on chairs for two weeks notice a substantial difference in one feeling "broken down". Have contacted Abbyson with no response. Will continue to do so. This, I feel, is the problem with online purchases!! Will certainly reconsider doing so in the future!!!
