We got this for our almost 2 year old daughter because we needed something less bulky than our portacrib for travel, since my husband's job requires him to travel each month and we go with him. We let Arianna try it out the night before we left, and she loved it. During the trip she was very happy to go to bed in it, and even jumping on it a little didn't harm the cot. Its a lot less bulky than the portacrib, takes up much less room, and is very easy to set up and take down (unlike the portacrib). The only con about it is tiny, I wish it wasn't as loose as it is. Its not so loose that its dangerous or anything, but it'd be nice if it were more taught.

Great for traveling and temporary visits.

My 1yr old sleeps on a cot at school and was very happy to also have a cot at home. We planned to use it when we travel, but have also used it while my son was sick and stayed in our bedroom. Over it with a nap mat and it is perfect. It is small and very easy to set up - pull it out of the bag and press it flat. I really like the fitted cover that is included. It provides a barrier to keep the cot in place. My only complaint is there is a band that runs across the middle on the bottom side of the cot, which prevents it from being a flat surface. This band is not on the head or foot of the cot. Right now my son is not so tall that he cannot avoid sleeping on the band, but will likely make him uncomfortable as he grows. I may have to cut it and add elastic so that it stretches and still holds. Overall, it is a great investment, and is much cheaper and easier to pack than our larger Pack N Play.

Disappointed in toddler's reaction

I really thought this was going to be our answer to a bed for our grandson when he visits from out of state. Instead, in the 7 days he's been here, he's not slept on it even one night. Some of his alternative bedding solutions have been comical, but now he just wants to sleep with Mommy in her bed (*not* a good idea). Maybe your toddler will not be bothered by the center bar that crosses the mid-section, but my little "Prince and the Pea" is. I'm looking for a firm mattress now that will solve this problem. Oh, well. It looked like a good idea and I still think it's a good value and well made.

Great for the Price!

We ordered this cot for our 2 almost 3-year old son because he was getting too big for his pack-n-play at grandma's. The cot it great! Low to the ground, comfy (we put a folded quilt on it because the support bars are a little hard, but not too bad), and our son thinks it is very cool because it is a "big boy bed"! Only a couple of things I wish were different... the bag is very simular size and design of a folding chair, but it does not have a handle and is a little thin. As I mentioned earlier, there should be a little more padding on the cot. Overall I highly recommend this cot!

Great Buy

My 2 yr old loves her new portable bed. We use it for nap time on the weekends. She stands on it and jumps on it and it doesn't collapse or tip over. Haven't used it for a full night yet, but she is comfortable and secure during her daily nap. I like it because I can easily move it to where I am working for her to fall asleep instead of me having to go to her room to put her down for a nap.

Has problems - but they can be fixed

The collapsable travel cot folds up small and is easy to pack - it does this perfectly. Many other reviewers mentioned a strap across the middle making it uncomfortable. That strap IS there and left the way it is it IS UNCOMFORTABLE! However, I was able to rig it up so that my daughter slept perfectly stretched out across the cot. Before I go on I should mention I do a lot of camping so I had all the material I needed on hand and this didn't cost me a thing. If I had pay for these I would have felt differently about the cot. Here's what I did: I cut up an old 3/4 inch closed-cell foam sleeping pad (available cheap at many outdoor stores and possibly even Walmart). I cut it into 4 eqaul size squares, approximated 2'X2'. I laid these on either side of the strap - two high so that there was 1.5 inches (2 layers of the 3/4 inch foam) on either side of the strap. Then I took a "short" 47-inch long therma-rest self inflating sleeping pad and laid it across the whole set up. After doing this the top mattress feels flat and the strap is not felt at all. My daughter slept perfectly. If I had to buy these things on my own it may have cost another $60 - added to a $25 cot.. so that may not have been realistic. But, as I mentioned, I had them on hand. You may be able to find a knock-off brand short mattress instead of a therma-rest and drop that price down. Without doing this I WOULD NOT HAVE RECOMMENDED THE COT.

Does exactly what it says

The travel cot has been very convenient for us so far. It literally takes seconds to open and close. Our daughter is very comfortable sleeping on it, she even likes sitting on it. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting an extra place for their little one to sleep whether they're traveling or at home.

Perfect for traveling

This is a great travel cot for toddlers who have outgrown the pack and play but aren't ready to sleep in an adult bed. We bought it for our two year old son to sleep over at grandma's house and he loved it. It is so simple to set up (just unfolds) and packs away very nice in the carry bag. The only thing it could use is a little padding. I highly recommend this product for anyone in need of a good travel bed solution for their young child.

It serves it's purpose

It was great except that it does go up in the middle like some other people said. I hope when it gets broken in it wont be so bad. I bought it for my 3 year old grandaughter when she stays over. She slept ok and said she liked it so I guess it wasn't too bothersome for her.

Great product

We just used this item for the first time and are very happy. My only complaint is the the little plastic covers for the "feet" keep coming off. I am just going to glue them on so we don't lose any. We actually bought this cot to use in our camper next summer. It is going to fit perfectly. It folds and unfolds very easily. We stayed and grandma's last night and decided to bring it along. My daughter loved having her own bed to sleep in. The cost at Wal-Mart was about $15 cheaper than the originl site I found it on. Plus no shipping with site to store!!
