I purchased this tuna without realizing it was packed in oil. So disappointed. I now only purchase packed in water. So if you don’t want the oil, look closely at the can. I’m not sure if it was next to the water packed or if there was even water packed available. My bad for not looking closer. I’m sure lots of people like it with oil. My family does not.

Totally skipping the quality of the tuna and going right to the weight of the product I found that there was only 3.594 oz of tuna in a can, and not 4.0 ozs. as labeled. The 3.94 ozs. includes some water as I was unable with this experiment to extract all the water. Just as well though because the Tuna Fish has some water in the fish meat and ist is a fair representation. What prompted this little quest was that I found and older can of Starkist tuna (not expired) and when I opened the can there was obviously more tuna in the older can then the current purchase at Sam’s Club. So, I started weight out the products. Total weight of the Can with water and tuna was 6.148 ozs. Total weight of the partially squeezed tuna was 3.594 ozs. leaving a total water and tin weight of 2.554 ozs. The important thing to remember is that YOU ARE NOT GETTING 4.ozs. of tuna as labeled. I would not recommend this product.

I wanted tuna in water. I thought the light turquoise label meant 'in water' but they came with oil. I wish the labeling was more prominent. I gave it to a local feeding program because I didn't have time to return it to Sam's. I'll just buy at the grocery next time.

I purchase this tuna, because I prefer tuna in vegetable oil, as it enhances the flavor.

Disgusting—so many bits of bone, black skin?, and scales in the few cans I've opened.

Tuna in oil tastes better and you use.less mayo/ salad dressing so get more flavor from spices used

I can't get enough of it. Great for salads, sandwiches and casseroles.
