Price point is great for this amount of cheese! Pre-shredded cheese is helpful. However, once this large bag is opened, the sticky tape they give you to “seal it” only lasts a handful of openings and closings. Better to have them split bags with a zipper like the other box store.

I couldn't even guess how many 5 lb. bags of this I have purchased over the years. It is a mix of four cheeses, but in our house, it is just "cheese." We use a scale and break it into five one-pound bags, freezing most of them and always having a fresh, thawed bag in the refrigerator ready to use for everything like salads, recipes, and garnish. Being frozen has never affected the flavor or texture. My recipes are certainly not limited to Mexican food; we use this shredded cheese for anything needing cheese. And everything needs cheese, right?

Very good Mexican-Style mix that my family uses on most everything that we use cheese on. It’s excellent to keep this and small flour tortillas on hand so my children can use it to make themselves cheese roll ups for their afternoon snack when they get home from school. We’ve been buying and using it for many years now because, well, cheese. We use a lot of it, because cheese goes great on almost everything! This isn’t like Walmart’s “taco cheese”. No spices are added, it’s just a blend of different cheeses.

This is a great buy! We bought it for a camping trip. Plenty for breakfast burritos, quesadilla…
