Shopper

The last time I bought this bacon. the pieces were only about 3 to 4 inches long, Is this the new normal and if it is that's disappointing. The slices used to be about 7 inches long.

Needs Improvement

I purchased this last month because my preferred fully cook brand was not available. This fully cooked bacon is too thin and it's shorter than the other brand. It doesn't have a strong hickory smoked taste, either. It is not cost effective. I have to use more slices per serving. The Hormel Black Label UNCOOKED bacon is great, however.

Expensive bacon

The product is good and a time saver. If you take the time to pick through multiple packs you will usually find packs that are better than others. The issue with the product is it used to cost $12.98 and on line it says $15.48 which is a dollar higher than the week before. When you get in the store it is almost $21 a pack at this point. I bought regular name brand bacon at Giant for $3.50 a pound after seeing the price in Sam's. Will continue to boycott the purchase of this product until they price it reasonably again. If a lot of you also stop buying it, you can help speed up that process.

bad

But these all the time, they’re easy, good and have a long shelf life. The last pack I bought, was bad. I’m not sure what happened to them, but when I opened the package, they were really brown and smelled funny. I will continue to buy the bacon, but will definitely be careful, when buying.

Bring back Hormel Fully Cooked Thick Cut Bacon

I prefer the Hormel Black Label Thick Cut fully cooked bacon. These slices are too thin. I tried the Members mark version of thick cut and it was not near the quality of Hormel. The taste was bad. Bring back the Hormle Thick Cut Fully Cooked Bacon

Claims equivalent to 4 lbs uncooked is a lie

Hormel's own Black Label thick cut 3lb uncooked package has ~2530 calories and ~161g of protein when cooked according to its nutrition panel. This pre-cooked pack claims to be equal to 4lbs uncooked but only provides ~1440 calories and ~90g of protein. That means that it isn't even equivalent to 2 lbs uncooked much less the 4 lbs they claim. It tastes great but I don't like being deceived by labels claiming to be something they are not. You are effectively paying nearly twice as much for it being pre-cooked versus the 3lb uncooked Black Label for the same amount of food.

Too thin - CHANGED from past!

We used to get great 'normal' bacon but that's changed! The package says 72 slices alright, but NOT like the 72 we used to get! It's 10.5 ounces and I'm wondering how much the old packages used to weigh. We made BLT's yesterday and couldn't even taste the bacon! I would rather pay more for the old product than to get slighted with the new! (Please don't tell me to buy thick bacon - we don't like thick. BUT, 'normal' would be nice!) We've bought this for decades (just not any in last year as husband has failing kidneys). Was shocked with this recent purchase.

went bad two months before bb date

Usually I love this bacon but the last bag I bought was a disappointment! It had mold growing in the bag about 2 months before the BBdate and the bacon was super discolored. I usually buy this because of how long it stays good for and I don’t go through crazy amounts of bacon but this was just disappointing especially for the price Probably will not buy again in fear of this being the new case. Now I’m stuck with about $10 worth of bacon I can’t eat

They keep getting smaller and smaller

I buy these on the regular but I've noticed that they keep getting smaller and smaller. This last time that I bought a pack (at almost 18 bucks) they looked like the ends were cut off!!! Change the picture because the product that is sold looks nothing like what you're advertising!! Every piece is shorter than a dollar bill. I won't be buying these again. So disappointing after getting a quality product for so long. Where is the quality control??

Where's the quality?

Burned to a crisp....you can't even heat in microwave, too dark and like jerky.....First the last row or 2 have been half size, now , now like jerky....time to change brands! So sick of getting bad quality....also the $6. Campari tomatoes... half are good, half are soft, I know they don't ripen like that!
