Um, um good!

I've been buying this for a quite a while and now I always have some in the house. Want a BLT in a hurry but don't want to create a mess? Have a recipe that calls for bacon? This is what you need! Bacon is one of those things I had stopped buying because it was messy to clean up afterwards whereas the pre-cooked tastes just as good and only takes seconds to heat up. We have it for breakfast once again and add it to so many things---- potatoes, salads, omelets, you name it.

They're ripping you off.

I used to love to get the Hormel Black Label Fully Cooked Bacon because it was quality and easy. Now, they're shaving the bacon so thin that you can see through it. It crumbles if you don't pick it up delicately after it's cooked. Also, there used to be a bit of grease after microwaving...not any longer. Not enough bacon to create a greasy spot. Corporate shrinkflation needs to have consequences.

Disappointed

Lately I've been having terrible issues with this product. First thing is that the resealable portion of the package, the backing comes loose. So while the locking portion works, the backing pulls away from the rest of the package therefore leaving your product exposed to air. Second I'm receiving full rows or two of uncooked bacon. I contacted Hormel who swears those portions are not uncooked, however they don't look cooked, they don't look like the rest of the bacon in the package, and after 2 minutes in the microwave still wasn't completely cooked. But they didn't believe me nor did they seem to care. I have two more packages to open and if I find any uncooked bacon I'm just bringing it all back to Sam's and not purchasing anymore.

not bad

I tried the same brand and style from a grocery store a week before and liked the taste and quality enough to make the bulk purchase. The taste matched but I am a little disappointed in the thickness. The first layer we used seemed spot on the grocery store package. The second layer was paper thin. Wow. Was it a fluke that the top that you can see was different from the inside. I don’t know. I haven’t dug into the rest yet. Even as thin as it got its still an easy and tasty addition to lunch sandwiches and salad. So we will buy again.

Don't Bother

I had been buying this for our breakfasts for several years, but recently (June 2021) when I purchased it, the package costs more and the contents are way less. The pieces of bacon are like half the size of what they used to be! Not worth the money if you ask me.

Expensive bacon

The product is good and a time saver. If you take the time to pick through multiple packs you will usually find packs that are better than others. The issue with the product is it used to cost $12.98 and on line it says $15.48 which is a dollar higher than the week before. When you get in the store it is almost $21 a pack at this point. I bought regular name brand bacon at Giant for $3.50 a pound after seeing the price in Sam's. Will continue to boycott the purchase of this product until they price it reasonably again. If a lot of you also stop buying it, you can help speed up that process.

The Best

This makes BLTs and additions to Omletes so easy! Toast in the small oven and done! Excellent, too bad inflation has made it so expensive. The have been some odd black spots on the bacon lately, not sure what that is. They are putting it in the refrigerated cabinets lately, they used to stock them unrefrigerated.

Too thin - CHANGED from past!

We used to get great 'normal' bacon but that's changed! The package says 72 slices alright, but NOT like the 72 we used to get! It's 10.5 ounces and I'm wondering how much the old packages used to weigh. We made BLT's yesterday and couldn't even taste the bacon! I would rather pay more for the old product than to get slighted with the new! (Please don't tell me to buy thick bacon - we don't like thick. BUT, 'normal' would be nice!) We've bought this for decades (just not any in last year as husband has failing kidneys). Was shocked with this recent purchase.

Where's the quality?

Burned to a crisp....you can't even heat in microwave, too dark and like jerky.....First the last row or 2 have been half size, now , now like jerky....time to change brands! So sick of getting bad quality....also the $6. Campari tomatoes... half are good, half are soft, I know they don't ripen like that!

Awesome Product

I just put this bacon in the microwave in a covered, oval CorningWare dish for about 1 minute, and it is done perfectly like I fried raw bacon for several minutes. It's much faster with little mess and tastes just as good. What a great convenience with zero compromise.
