55k miles is mesleading to say the least

A set of these tires came stock from the dealer when we bought our new Acura RDX and at 34k they are a road hazard and way too worn for this few miles. We are an old retired couple so we certainly don't drag or road race race with these tires. We have used Michelin tires for many years and

reply from Consumer Care

We understand the Primacy MXM4 tires on your Acura RDX did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

First time ever looking for an alternative to Michelin

1/ These tires came from factory on our Acura RDX with 90,000 km wear out promise. Just measured them, some spots 3-4/32, Best area a 6/32. This with 70k and swapped out for winters each year. you can claim they are safe but they will not pass tread depth for safety inspection here in NS. I have never shopped brand when buying tires, always bought the best Michelin’s I could find and I have stated so on here a few years ago but these are not suitable and not even close to the promise you are making. I have been a lifetime customer but notice even the LTX on my truck seem like they are wearing too quickly as well.

First time ever looking for an alternative to Michelin

2/ instead of making claims that your tires are still safe which is questionable why not simply make them so they actually have tread remaining that not only looks safe but will pass a government inspection even remotely close to your claim. Or, simply stop making the high mileage claims that you do. If anyone has actually clocked 90 km on these tires, please post it on here...I’d love to hear about it. I’m 55 years old, driving an AWD suv so not a drifter or street racer, just an ordinary user.

Great Tire Deserving of Premium Price

OEM tire on 2013 Honda Accord Sport Sedan. Can think of nothing bad to say about this tire. Confident handling in all conditions during two years of all season driving in MI & OH. Never felt timid in rainy or snowy conditions, and I drive somewhat aggressively. Tread wear was excellent as well, having just replaced them after 70,000 miles (3/32" left). Rotated about every 12,000 miles in-line with oil changes. Needless to say, I replace them with a carbon copy.

I would buy this tire again and again.

I was researching tires as a replacement for the noisy and rough-riding ultra-high performance tires on my 2008 Infiniti G35X. I wanted a tire that would preserve the crisp handling the performance tire had along with a smoother quieter ride. In other words, I wanted it all! Well, the Primacy MXM4 comes satisfyingly close! The handling is only a titch less crisp and the ride is much much smoother and quieter! Winter traction has been unbelievably great! But, after 3 years of wear on the Primacy's I'm faced with tires that will be fine for another 2 summers, but not one more winter. I will definitely buy the Primacy MXM4s again and next summer switch back the current ones to finish wearing them out.

Highly recommend!

I bought these tires for my 2010 Focus with 17 in wheels so my version have a pretty small sidewall. So ride is important to me. These perform very well in the little bit of time I've owned them. (3 months/ 7000 miles) I drive 90% hi-way. Great at high speed in all conditions. Drove home from airport in a blizzard and I felt very in control. Great in wet and dry. Have yet to hear them make any noise in the corners. They suck up the bumps well too. Another thing I like is that the sidewall protrudes a bit more than most tires and protects the wheel lip very well. So if you do happen to bump a curb your wheel will be ok. I did have a small issue getting them balanced but I put that more on the place that balanced them, my wheels, and my pickiness at highway speeds. Great Tire. I don't mind spending a little more. I think all Michelin tires are worth the extra coin. Let's face it, this is all that keeps you on the road.

Quiet, Good Control and Long-life

Michelin tires are in my opinion and my usage over the past 10+ years (used for my sedan & SUV) the most value-for-your-money tires. Giving you a smooth rider, longer tread life and good control in nearly any environmental conditions you could encounter. The reliability gives you the peace of mind you need from a tire company you can trust.

As a car hobby ...

As a car hobby enthusiast, I owned numerous automobiles over the past 3 decades and tried many tiers. I have not found any better than Michelin. The Michelin Primacy is no exception. Grips the road with confidence, lasts well over warranted mileage. I buy Michelin tires for my childrens cars. One opportunity for improvement may be to reduce road noise in this model tire. The last set delivers a whining sound at speeds above 55mph.

Good tire

To correct my review of the Premier which I just bought for my Camary, my review was for the Primacy for a Camary 2 1/2 years ago. I was more than pleased with the performance of the Primacy even when I hit the pothole and got a bubble in the tire, I was driving on that tire for 2 months until I bought the Premier. As far as tires for my car, I will stay with Michelin as long as I can afford them.

I purchased a set of ...

I purchased a set of Michelin Primacy tires for my Toyota Avalon based upon Consumer reports outstanding recommendation of them. I just love these tires. They handle so much better in the snow and rain than the originial tires that came on my Avalon. I also wanted to be sure that the ride of my avalon would not be too harsh or hard. These tires ride nice and quite but yet handle so well! I liked these tires so much that within 6 months I purchased another set for my wife's Toyota Camry. Now I have the same Michelin tires on both of my cars and drive with the peace of mind that I have one of the best all around tires available on both of my cars.
