Smoother Ride

Had a great experience with the crew at the Lowell store. They were very knowledgeable, polite and up front about everything throughout the entire transaction and work. The tires are great. They made the ride of my truck smoother but keep in mind, it's a work truck model that had stock tires.

nice tires

I have only had these on for a month and a half. A little bit of road noise at lower speeds but I like that. I'm looking forward to how long they will hold up. I travel 2 states for work and average 50k miles a year. I am on job sites from time to time where a more aggressive traction is needed. Hoping for the best of both worlds... Plus, I think they look pretty sharp on my GMC 3500.

Great start

I swapped out the stock Nittos for these very early on. About 6000 miles in, they were as scalloped/cupped as they remained until today. If I drive down a dusty road, every other tread is dusty - the lower treads are cleaner and darker because they do not make contact. Dealership never mentioned any issues with suspension or alignment and was checked every 5000 miles at regular service intervals as well as rotated as recommended. It was so bad that at stop lights if the truck began to roll, it would rock on the alternating raised/lowered tread. The vibration is so bad that plastic parts of the interior vibrate uncontrollably at 45-55 MPH. So I end up driving faster or slower depending on where I am. My girlfriend can hear my truck two blocks away. These tires are well suited for the mud and winter snow in Buffalo, NY. If I lived in warmer climates, I would opt for something a little quieter. I love the aggressive look and that it gets me through any weather.

Good quality tire at lower price

Only available in SL (standard load) rating for 265/70R16. I prefer XL or E rating for trucks. They are good looking tires. Great traction on gravel and wet dirt but only 4/5 in mud. Very quiet highway driving. More aggressive (definite upgrade) than the stock goodyear's that came with my Tacoma in same size. If your truck is your daily driver and part-time off road, I would recommend this tire. Good priced quality tire.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrack on a 4 x 4 Ram PW

I've had it on sand, snow and mud. It rocks! They're a little loud at high speed on the freeway, but that's true with all traction tires. The only thing I have had kill one is an 8d nail. Yup, sometimes life sucks. But it's still a great all around tire.

My 2nd set

I was so happy with my previous set of Duratracs, when it came time to purchase new tires, of course I got me a new set. OUTSTANDING winter performance! OUTSTANDING off-road performance! One of my best friends just got some based on my experience. They are a little noisy, but nothing like others with as aggressive tread.

82,000 miles!

Beyond impressed, that an all terrain with great traction lasted so long. I was expecting to have to replace them before 50,000 miles. The 265/65r17 version came on my 2017 Colorado ZR2. Yes, I drove over 80,000 miles on these tires and there was still more than enough tread to be legal, 3/32" (2/32" is legal limit in Florida). I didn't take care of these as well as I could have, but I did rotate them. Everytime they started humming noticeably louder, I rotated them, usually around 10,000 miles, and the hum would go away for a long time. I should've had them rebalanced every 10,000 as well. You can't expect the weight to remain perfectly balanced as it loses rubber. At around 60,000 miles I rotated and found I had one tire out of round. I put that tire on the right rear where it stayed until replaced. I believe had I been balancing the tires, I could've avoided that one tire going out of round, and I could've kept rotating, allowing for the tires to last even more miles. I'm only writing this review because I saw so many negative reviews from people who are clearly ignorant of the causes of tire wear. Poor alignment, worn out shocks, and worn suspension components are major contributors to uneven tire wear. You can have an alignment done, and still have problems, if your suspension bushings are worn, or you have sloppy tie rod ends or ball joints. The alignment rack measures alignment in a no load condition. As you drive down the road, friction pulls your tires in different directions in different situations. Whether braking, turning, accelerating, maintaining, or coasting, forces are pulling on suspension diffently, and if your suspension is worn, your tires will go out of alignment in any condition other than sitting on a smooth flat surface like the alignment rack. I bought my truck new, so I didn't have any of those issues, but a lot of the negative reviews come from people that clearly have other problems, and they are blaming the tires.

Excellent tire for aggressive look and and smooth ride

This is my 3rd set. I got 65,000 on first set and 70,000+ on second. I did rotate properly and change tire pressure every other oil change. These tires have been great on and off road. Plenty of traction in all weather. Very aggressive look but a very smooth ride. The only time they started the roaring is when they got the high mileage on them and still wasn't very bad. Only reason for 3 stars for winter traction is because wintry weather around here isn't very common although they did perform well in what we had which was ice and slush. Performed well hauling ATV'S and mowers. Would highly recommend the purchase of these tires.

20k miles dead no warranty?

After 2 years and 3 months and just over 20k miles these tires are bald. Yes I did a tire rotation twice a year and no i do not have a lead foot. I have a f250 so not like you can have one. I do very little towing and maybe twice a month haul heavy payload during the summer. Even when I do its 20m city drive. I have used 2 other brands on my trucks and each one were MT. One gave my 40k other i was closer to 55k. PLUS: These have been one of the best traction tires and very little noise. Really I only hear noise if I'm over 40mph and turning. As for the traction i feel glued to the road in dry and wet conditions at highway speeds through curvy mountain roads here in PA.With our snow storms I never ever got stuck even when i tried. We had 3 foot and a few 2 foot storms in the last 2 years. Each one i spent a few hours out there without once feeling like I would get stuck. It drove like a sunny day. For paved roads never again but mud and snow its a dream.

Not Happy only lasted 25070 miles

I purchased new LT285/75R16E Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 126P BSL.for my Chevy 2500 HD diesel pick up on 11/30/18. I like the look, tread design and handling of the tire. I am a mild driver, mostly on dry paved roads and winter snow when visiting my cabin two weekends per month in winter. I have my tires professionally rotated per manufacturer recommended intervals. Today on 01/06/22, 3 years and one month since purchased, I have driven 25,075 miles on these tires. I took my vehicle to have the tires rotated this afternoon, where I purchased the tires and they told me that they could not rotate them due to wear and that I need new tires. I was shocked and was told that theses tires do not have a manufacturer warranty. I looked on this site and it states that that only the non-LT Wrangler Duratracs are guaranteed. 25,000 miles is not a reasonable tread life span. I'm not happy and do NOT recommend this tire in the LT sizes.
