I made the mistake of buying a store brand potting mix last year. Never again! This soil is worth every penny and especially at the great price at Sam's Club sells it for. My flowers grow exceptionally well with this soil.

I made the mistake one Spring and used a cheaper potting soil. That is the year my flowers were not nearly as beautiful. Now I only use Miracle -Gro potting soil.

Good quality over all. I have use this brand for many years and have good results. I tried a LOT of other brands and keep going back to the one I trust. Miracle Grow moisture control is consistent quality.

Diverse organic mixture of composted bark and coir, but little to no nutrients. Add your own perlite to improve drainage or peat to increase water retention depending on the plants being grown.

Seems like they changed the formula. Not as good as it used to be, with lots of chunks of un-composted wood in it. some plants are not thriving. Disappointed with this.

While Sam’s club offered the best price in town, the product quality is not what it was in the past. Too many sticks some quite large makes it difficult to use and not ideal to use as a seed starting potting soil.

The potting soil is light and contains very few sticks and very little bark. It appears there is quite a bit of peat moss in the mixture. It has adequate amounts of Perlite. It seems to hold water fairly well, without staying too wet. It absorbs water quickly. It seems to have about the right amount of fertilizer. I do not have experience with it long term.
