Seems like they changed the formula. Not as good as it used to be, with lots of chunks of un-composted wood in it. some plants are not thriving. Disappointed with this.

Good quality over all. I have use this brand for many years and have good results. I tried a LOT of other brands and keep going back to the one I trust. Miracle Grow moisture control is consistent quality.

Learned my lesson the hard way last year when I purchased an unfamiliar brand at the big box store and everything I used it for either died or failed to thrive. I've always had great results with Miracle Gro.

I made the mistake of buying a store brand potting mix last year. Never again! This soil is worth every penny and especially at the great price at Sam's Club sells it for. My flowers grow exceptionally well with this soil.

It consist of wood chip and peat moss. But the wood chips are very big, not good for planting seeds or tender young seedlings. It needs to be sifted for these purposes.

Total waste of money! Little white bugs all throughout the bag! I kept the bag in the box it came in, until my daughter could come help me repot my plants. She came up this weekend. We opened the box and then the bag, and bugs literally flew out at us and others were crawling in the bag. She had to take the bag down to the dumpster to get it out of my house. So disappointed.

This is my second purchase of Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. I make my own soil for my flowers, vegetables and herbs. I discovered this product while watching a YouTube video about creating successful hanging baskets and knew this was what I needed for my soils. Most people think dirt is dirt, but I have been going to workshops about how to grow healthy plants and make sure that they have all the nutrients that they need. It can be daunting , but this potting mix makes a great base for my plants.

Every year I buy this Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting soil for flowers that I plant in pots outside. The flowers always seem to do well, and I like the idea that the soil is trying to help the flowers survive during the hot summer months when we sometimes have dry stretches. It's also supposed to protect from overwatering, so it is a "win-win." I usually sprinkle in a little Osmicote in the soil when I first plant my flowers. Try to keep an opened bag tightly closed so that the soil is still moist the next time you need it. I'm not sure how effective the drier/dried out soil from an opened bag is.
