They may enter the bag through holes or tears and lay eggs while they soil is waiting for sale. The larvae feed on the fungus that naturally grows in potting soil We recommend letting the soil dry out between watering. Dry soil can help kill the larvae. Yellow sticky traps can also be used. Insects will not disappear overnight. It may take several weeks but you should start to see a reduction in numbers.
