Fungus gnats

This is NOT genuine potting soil.  The bag I recently bought at my local store contained nothing but twigs, small rocks, and other junk.  The flowers would never survive in this stuff.  If you want good potting soil, you need to buy the brand at your local nursery--not big box stores.  This is just another example of big companies changing the quality of their product in exchange for $$$$$.  Shame on Sam's for selling it.

If you are potting up plants to keep outside in South Florida, SKIP THIS! It does not "control" moisture and balance if you are an over-waterer or under-waterer... it literally does not hold on to water. I have to water my plants every. single. day. If you skip a day, they are slumped over. I have other things to do in life. I just went out and found 4 super-wilted plants with dead leaves. This stuff is terrible for the South Florida outdoors. Don't buy it.

On 4/12/24 I purchased 4 bags of this soil. Every bag is so compacted when I open it I feel like I am chipping cement to fill my pots. I am so disappointed . I have bought this in the past and used it with no problem. For some reason this year what I purchased is obviously very old or Miracle Gro has changed their mixture. To say I am disappointed is and understatement.

Don't let the $12 bag lure you, this stuff SUCKS. I spent over $100 in quality seeds this year from different farms and out of several pots with Miracle Gro, only 2 seedlings sprouted and even those are struggling 8 weeks later while pots and planters of another soil I used (Happy Frog) are thriving. My Miracle Gro bag mainly consist of sticks, wood chips and possibly cat poop. I wouldn't even use this as filler for some of my larger pots.

The soil had about 50% mulch, wood chips and bark.

Alot of sticks so not to be used with small plants. Works good for big plants but it should say that on package

This stuff is so great. I feel like I can almost see all my plants growing before my very eyes. Nearly impossible to over or under water. The best.

Great potting soil that you can count on, even though it does sprout some weeds along with the plants or starts you're trying to grow.

I use Miracle-Gro every season for potting and re-potting house plants and container vegetables. It's always reliable and my plants do so well!
