I got 2 of these 2 cu ft bags of moisture control for planting my miniature roses this spring. So for my roses are doing great, they are nice and green, growing and are blooming now. I like this potting soil mixture,helps to keep them not too wet or too dry. Also it has fertilizer in it to help them grow, glad that I got it to use this spring, a good product,was at a good price.

Every year I buy this Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting soil for flowers that I plant in pots outside. The flowers always seem to do well, and I like the idea that the soil is trying to help the flowers survive during the hot summer months when we sometimes have dry stretches. It's also supposed to protect from overwatering, so it is a "win-win." I usually sprinkle in a little Osmicote in the soil when I first plant my flowers. Try to keep an opened bag tightly closed so that the soil is still moist the next time you need it. I'm not sure how effective the drier/dried out soil from an opened bag is.

For indoor plants, I find the trickiest part is watering without overwatering. If you haven't tried bottom watering, I highly recommend it. It solved my fungus gnat problem without chemicals. This soil has sponge qualities that also work very nicely, particularly if you are like me and only get to watering one day a week. This soil can easily hold water that long and still drains well enough to avoid root rot.

Love this dirt. We'll buy it from here on out for most of my plants. You don't have to water your plants as much and it does Exactly what it says, One thing I learned After a while, it gets tucked down and you do have to loosen the dirt up other than that, it's great.Thank you miracle bro moisture control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two bags of cu ft. sized MiracleGro Moisture Control soil FULL of fungus gnats! Opened up the bag the same day I got them from the store, not shipped, and fungus GNATS flew out! INFESTED 2 cu. ft., disgusted! Contaminated and unusable! That's $17.98 of destruction and infestation to deal with even without putting into pots because they're loose here now. I need not only a refund but damages. Very angry as this is the 2nd time I've bought this brand from the same store and the first had the gnats in egg form apparently, that came out within about a week of using. This time they'd already reached adult stage so I didn't pot with them but have to fumigate all the same, as well as search for new soil to use in new plants needing planting asap. I've read at least 6 other reviews with this problem, and 2 instances myself. I've had enough!

My mother, who is a 50 year veteran of horticulture science and landscaping, introduced me to miracle gro moisture control. As a landscaping professional myself, I use only this product when creating my pots in the spring. It provides proper moisture and nutrition for my flowers and plants, controlling and keeping moisture in much longer than the other brands and formulas. Well worth the extra cost.

This is my second purchase of Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. I make my own soil for my flowers, vegetables and herbs. I discovered this product while watching a YouTube video about creating successful hanging baskets and knew this was what I needed for my soils. Most people think dirt is dirt, but I have been going to workshops about how to grow healthy plants and make sure that they have all the nutrients that they need. It can be daunting , but this potting mix makes a great base for my plants.

This item was shipped to me in poor condition. The driver lied and said it was delivered to my front door when it was not. It was left on the sidewalk - 2 sets of steps away from the front door. In addition - the driver included a photograph that was just a black square. The soil was so wet and heavy that 2 people had trouble getting it to the door. The soil is still not dried out so unable to use. I will not purchase this item again from Walmart.

Soil with the smell of spring! It does have twogs %26 bark gere %26 there in it. But the best part that sets ut apart, is using it in my indoor garden play, and then seeing hurting bedraggled by winter sun plants %26 semi-neglect, stand up straight tall %26 give me green shoots %26 then the flower pods %26 then blooms %26 new growth. My plant feeding schedule can be stretched out too. Next I know all my indoor plants recover quickly %26 ongoing.

I have 3 large gardens and I buy several bags of this to give the soil a boost and try to keep the daisies happy along with the purple mums,hydrangeas and purple irises that are so beautiful! Cantaloupe are planted as well...another beautiful growing season. Yellow bells and pink azaleas are in full bloom, as well as 2 pregnant cats that have joined our home, Joey loves kittens and grooms them as they grow up...I take walks with 1 dog and 6 grown cats love those walks on our private road!
