Easy set up and product

Bought to replace a smaller 5800 watt coleman. Super easy set up just put the wheels and legs on and add oil. Battery was already to go but I charged it to make sure. Fob worked from far away. I like the auto start feature where it tries 3 times to start with on push of fob or start button. Dual fuel cut over is great. I may try propane first before I ever put gas in. This is for emergency use in CA where we have fire prevention power shut offs that can last 5 days. Dont have my transfer system installed yet so I only did a few extension cord tools at once. Nice feature is multi gauge that shows voltage and power use.

Westinghouse WGen9500DF

The Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator is a real work horse. This duel fuel generator is built very solid and has many extras. The electric start with Key fob is a nice touch. I have to wait for my electrician to tie into the house transfer switch, but it starts and runs smoothly. I am very pleased with this purchase. It is quite heavy and would be easier to move if Westinghouse had included 4 wheels instead of just 2.

Very impressed!

Unit arrived well packaged, in 7 total days, with no damage. Installation was straight forward with no surprises. Started on first try, remote FOB works well with great range over 100ft. . Noise is surprisingly low for a generator of this size. I am HAPPY!!

Excellent Generator

I have owned several portable generators over the years from various manufacturers, but none have really stood out as far as features or overall performance. Well, that has change with the WGen9500TFc. To start with, the tri-fuel option is a very nice feature. Having the option to use various types of fuel comes in handy, especially when gas prices are up. A simple turn of a knob allows you to switch from one fuel source to another. The control panel is nicely set up and easy to understand and has a visual display showing output voltage along with other useful info about the unit. With four 20 amps outlets, one 30 amp and one 50 amp, you will be able to run whatever tool or appliance needed. The unit starts easily and runs smoothly. The addition of a remote start/stop key fob is an added plus. I highly recommend this generator and would not hesitate to purchase it.

Thoughtful design

I purchased this from the contractor that installed the outside-house wiring and cut-out on the circuit board. The unit is "reasonably" quiet. The wheels on the frame make it possible for 1 person to move the generator. The electric starter is working very well. There is a remote keyfob to start and stop, which will be nice when it's raining (how often does the electricity grid fail on a sunny day?). The gas tank holds 6.5 gallons, so it can run quite a while. Our house is all electric heating and cooling with well water. I can't say that I'm looking forward to using this generator, but the next time the electricity goes out we'll be ready to continue living in our house.

Looks good BUT some details not so good

I bought this generator about a week ago so have not run the unit yet. Four issues out of the box and it is brand new. 1.When I went to install the wheels. The axle for one wheel would not go through the axle bracket because there was a metal burr sticking out. I used a dremel tool with a grinder bit to remove the burr. 2. When I went to install the feet, the one had metal fragments in the threads. A pick was able to remove the fragments. 3. The instructions indicated a remote but it was not in the accessories box as indicated. I found the remote attached to the manual start pull chord. 4. When I went online to register the generator, the submit button did not work. It was necessary to call customer support and they registered the generator. Hopefully the generator works better.

First Day

The generator was delivered today. Added the oil, gas, and put the wheels and bottom legs on. Very simple. Read some instructions which is normal for most men! Read what I needed to turn it on using the key fob and it started the first time. Will try it out more during this month. Very happy with the purchase at this tim

Started right up

The generator was easy to assemble (10 min. tops). Tools and battery were a bonus. I hooked up a propane cylinder and it started immediately when the start button was pressed. One minor annoyance is the frame is out of plumb. It does not seem to impact operation but is noticeable and causes the wheel to rub on the battery holder.

Well Rounded Machine

I bought this a few months back. It took about 12-15 cranks to get it started, but after the fuel finally made it through the system it started right up and runs every time I push the button. Easy to change between gas and propane. Happy with my purchase.
