I purchased this powerful generator for backup power at my permanent RV site. Additionally, it's also enough to supply power to my two 8'x14' buildings along with my RV. I like the simple remote start-up from inside my RV. Eventually, I will use the duel fuel feature and hook up a propane line from my big tank. I had difficulty getting the generator started on the first day's attempt. The next day's attempt to start the generator was a success. I've had no difficulty starting the generator for the past month. It ran smoothly while applying power needs during the break-in period. I have learned the battery will not hold power after some time. Constant battery charging is required. Rather than using the supplied 110VAC battery charger connected constantly, I will hook up an appropriate solar battery charger.

The dual-fuel capability offers extra peace of mind. Enough power here to run the whole house with the right transfer switch. Installed the wheels, added the included oil, filled the tank and started right up...as it should. Tested manual pull, push-button, and remote starts as well as all outlets and features. No issues. Nice generator.

I bought this six months ago and was able to use it this past week with a tornado taking out our power for several days. I was able to connect this to a transfer switch and run our whole house comfortably. Excellent generator with easy set up. 10/10 would recommend!

Generator arrived yesterday & I was pleased to see that oil was included and so was propane tank accessory hose. Connected to standard grill propane tank easily. Also included is battery charger. Attaching feet & wheels was simple enough. Wireless remote was already paired with generator. Removable filter screen in gas tank is a very useful feature. Unit started easily with rope, remote, and push-button. Switched from propane to gasoline while running and only slight engine hesitation during transition. Operation Manual is easy to understand and thorough. If this unit holds up over time, I will be extremely satisfied with purchase.

Bought a brand new Westinghouse WGen9500 and it will not start or run on gasoline. I called and I guess it's a common problem with their new generators. They said the carburetor is probably gummed up from sitting after being tested. It says on the generator to use fuel stabilizer but they do not follow their own instructions. I asked if they use stabilizer and was told no. So I have to wait for a back ordered carburetor. Or I can return the generator for a refund or exchange. I haven't fully tried it out to see if I would recommend to a friend so at the moment I'm going to say no. The generator will start and run on propane.

I wanted to be prepared for our next outage so I needed a generator I could depend on. I am one that does a lot of research before I buy anything. I found this one and I watched a lot of videos, read reviews and articles. We broke it in and it runs amazing! I got the 9500df. I love the remote. Instructions are very understanding so I believe I am ready for next outage. I made a good decision on this. Thank you Westinghouse!!

I bought this generator because the first one I had wasn't cutting it I needed something with more power and this one definitely for the bill. I'm more than pleased with the performance and overall abilities of the WGen9500DF. Having a key fob is pretty doggone cool too!

After researching a lot of generators we decided on the Westinghouse due to all of the positive reviews. No other manufacturer had as many reviews. The electric start and dual fuel make it very convenience. After using it we are very happy with the performance.

When 1st trying to start this generator, the unit would not even attempt to start. Seemed like there was an issue with the battery/electric start. There is a red button on the right side of the control box that was never mentioned in the instructions or trouble shooting guide. I reset the button and it started but shut off 2xs after running for a few minutes. I had to flip the toggle for the outlets off and then on which seemed to work. Unit ran for 3 hrs with no problem. Hopefully all is OK and this was just on the initial starting.

The only draw back is leaving your RV plugged in and you can't remote start or shut off unless you turn off/on the circuit breaker. So early mornings you still have to go out in the dark and cold to start it up. Unless there is a trick to this situation. Which I haven't found yet. Otherwise it is working awesome for our 50AMP RV. Still haven't used full potential. Maybe another review after using both AC units!
