Bought this to use mainly as a home backup generator, but that I could also take camping or to a tailgate if I really needed to. This one excels at both! It can power the whole house and I can get it in the bed of my truck (with ramps). Highly recommend!!

I bought this a month ago and it was super easy to setup. It started right up. I haven't really got a chance to use it yet. Power hasn't gone out, but I know i'll be ready for it. I love the push start and remote. Its super easy that my wife can use this when i'm not at home.

This generator has a good power rating for a portable generator. The dual fuel option gives us flexibility if one type of fuel is hard to get or store. The multiple outlet types allow us to hook into a transfer switch, high wattage cable, or standard outlets.

I purchased this in December 2020. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy to assemble it was. It only took about 15 Min. The handle makes it easy to move around. I have used it a few times since. Every time it has started on the first try. (I am using gas but I have a tank of propane on hand) The ability to use either gas or propane was one of the reasons I chose this unit. I use it to power my home during blackouts, and it has handled the load with out a problem. It has many other good features also. Overall I am very happy with the performance of this unit.

My husband Robin (he is the one who really wanted a generator) and I bought this model because of the portability, the dual fuel source and its ability to give power to our home not if but when we lose our "grid" power source. I cannot say it is excellent (5 stars is perfection to me) nor can I say it is only good (4 stars) but somewhere in between. We are comfortable knowing we have backup power plus power we can use in places that don't have an electrical source. Thank you Westinghouse for another wonderful product!!

I have been looking for an upgrade generator for many months. One that would handle a total power loss to keep major electrical needs going for several days if needed. I had reviewed several brands and even selected one to order. Then I discovered this Westinghouse 9500 DF. I am very familiar with the Westinghouse name but was surprised that they sold generators. After reviewing it and comparing with the brand I was about to order I decided this was the one for me. It met all my requirements with a better price. It took almost a month to get here. But it was very easy to put together and when ready to start, to my amazement it did so immediately. Push the button on it and it started. Use the remote and it started. Forget the rope, not totally but there just in case. If the battery does die, pull the rope and start it, hook up the built in battery charger and back to buttons. I recommend it.

I bought this 9500DF recently. Setup was very easy. Started right up on Gasoline. Then transferred to propane supply. No problem, kept running! Not overly loud either. Used the remote to start & stop. Very convenient! Waiting to get 50-amp breaker / receptacle installed on house panel box so I can run select inside lights, select appliances and 3.5 ton AC unit.

I bought this generator 6 months ago, and it arrived by freight about 6 weeks later. It is a fairly hefty unit, but it has a great handle that helps give you the leverage you need to move it. Assembly from the box was pretty simple and mostly just involved the wheels and a couple connections. This unit puts out lots of power. It is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected. I've only run it with Propane, as I don't want gas sitting in the fuel tank while not in use. It runs well and is easy to start. I love that you can charge the battery even while it is still installed in the unit. It has plenty of connections, including a 50Amp port, which is what I use to connect it to my house. Given the power load capabilities, it can pretty much power my whole house (1500 Sq ft). The only possible improvemen I could imagine would be having the ability to switch between gas and propane on the fly (you have to shut off the generator to switch currently). But overall it is a fantastic unit, with exceptional power output for the price. It really isn't all that portable, so don't buy this as a camping unit. It is truly an emergency home power replacement, or maybe a larger job site power supply. And that's what it is made for. I'd highly recommend it.

We bought this generator 3 weeks ago for a backup to the genarator we already have after we were without electricity for 3 days and realized a 2nd generator was needed. We were impressed with the remote start and the easy assembly and simple instructions. We had it from box to running in less than 10 minutes

I received my generator last week. Yesterday, my son in law assembled it and started up for me. He pushed the button and it started right up! Then I used the remote starter and again, it started right up! This generator is going to run my whole house, I love it already!
