I purchased this generator 12-31-21. I had not had a chance to start it up until yesterday, 02-02-22. At first, the unit would not start. I did add only about 1/2 a gallon of gas and about half of the 1.1 10w30 oil provided with the unit. I made sure , for a second time, that I had followed all of their starting instructions. Added at least 4 more gallons of gas and filled the unit with oil. Tried the unit again and it started. I have not plugged in any outlets or anything to the unit and am planning on doing this within the next couple of days. Despite the unit box being damaged upon receipt. The only visible damage was to the sticker on the frame and nothing else. Due to the damaged box upon receipt, I am giving a 4 star rating otherwise it would have more than likely been a 5.

We've been having alot of power outages lately due to weather and falling trees. Wife was finally fed up and to avoid sleeping in the shop, we purchased this as a home backup generator. We have a small 1500 sqf house, added an interlock switch, and good to go. When I ran the generator for its break in period it fired up on the first push of the start button without fail. Once the break in period was done, I went ahead and changed the oil even though it didn't need it. We connected it to the house switched over to generator power and slowly started turning on breakers. This machine performed flawlessly. I don't want another power outage, but we are ready for the next one.

Bought this generator since we live in hurricane country. We decided to buy a quality product and after some reviews decided on the 9500 duel fuel. We bought it from Amazon because of the price but when it arrived the box was barely holding together. The cover for the pull start is bent so it's stuck. The wheel kit and oil were missing. If you buy one definitely get it in person. The generator itself is great.

Purchased this June 27th, 2024. Arrived today and I had it unpacked and set up in about 45 mins. Ran it on gasoline for trial run and operated some power tools without any issues. The manual was simple to follow and covered all of the questions I might have had. The unit started right up after connecting the battery and pairing the remote. I am planning on using propane once my cylinder arrives and I can get a fill. So far I am very happy with the ease of use and I like the versatility of having 3 fuel choices.

Large generator big enough to power our whole home during power outage, with a transfer swtich. Handles and wheels make it easy to move. Wife loves the electric start. Love that there is 3 ways to start it up. I did a little research before and Westinghouse had the best run time for the 12500 model compared to others.

My old generator stopped working for me just when I needed it. After researching various companies and models I chose the Westinghouse 9500 duel fuel. Upon delivery and "minor" assembly (install wheels and engine oil), I was delighted that it started on the first attempt. The generator comes with electric start, a remote control, and is actually smaller and quieter than my John Deere 6200 generator. I never thought I'd say this but, I'm actually looking forward to the power going out!

I received my generator last week. Yesterday, my son in law assembled it and started up for me. He pushed the button and it started right up! Then I used the remote starter and again, it started right up! This generator is going to run my whole house, I love it already!

I am glad I bought this generator. It is well built. The push start is a breeze. No more manually cracking a generator to start it. It can also be wired directly into the house. I haven't come across anything yet that seems flimsy or made of cheap materials, except for the fuel type selection button. I wish it was more tactile/heavy. I love the battery charger option. Now I never have to worry about the battery dying on me. Things I like: * Built well * Feature packed * Easy and predictable start * Works as described Things that need to be improved: * Shipping times * Westinghouse barely gave me enough oil to fill the engine to just about the low oil level mark. I know they drain it before shipping it but I barely had enough oil to test start it. * The manual did not specify the oil capacity of the engine. Only time will tell if this or any generator is worth it; but as of right now; I love it.

I bought this for peace of mind during power outages. It arrived as expected. Was in perfect condition. I was notified in advance of the delivery. I added the oil, connected it to a propane tank and started it right up no problems. Price was fair. I would highly recommend this generator to my friends and family.

This thing is the truth! I love that it can be powered by gasoline, propane or our natural gas line. Also love that it has a manual and remote start option. And for the power that it puts out, it's great for the price. We haven't had to use it yet, but overall satisfied with the purchase.
