I purchased this item October 14, 2020 and thankfully I didn't have to use it until the middle of winter here in Louisiana. My old unit was of another brand with 4500 watts output, and just couldn't power enough of the house. This year we experienced a very hard winter with snow and ice with extremely low temperatures for our southern state. Result no electricity for days! I went out and cranked this Westinghouse unit and I couldn't believe how good this system cranks, runs, and powers up my home with no bogging down or problems of any kind. Arrived over two weeks before it was scheduled. Took no time to set up and test run. Has everything I had hoped for in a portable generator. I live in an area where our power grid often goes out. Thank you Westinghouse for such an outstanding product.

We have yet to use this during an emergency, but putting it together and setting it up wasn't too difficult (you'll need a second person to help with getting the wheels on seeing as it is heavy (211 lbs). Got it all set up and started it without issues. Plugged some power tools in it to test it and they worked just fine. Our first impression of this generator is positive so far. It's a pretty solid unit.

I debated over several generators and decided on this one. Out of the box I could tell I got a product well worth the money I spent. The dual fuel option works great and was just what I was looking for. I replaced a 10 year old smaller generator...the new Westinghouse is lighter so easier to move and not as loud either! The remote start key is super cool too. This will easily power my whole house with our never ending power outages in California.

Easy to assemble Footings and wheel. One footing nut may have hadd paint on the treads. Initially I thought I may have cross threaded the bolt. But the nuts are welded to the frame and then painted so I think there may have been paint. We slightly difficult to identify the actual choke lever. There is a nice size sign, but the actual lever was small and behind a fuel line. A little red paint on the choke lever handle would have helped. I like the controlled start. After pushing the start button, the unit tries multiple times automatically to start. I just wait for it to finally fire up. I intentionally overloaded the unit to see what it would run. We are all electric and on a well so use lots of power. We could run the well, water heater, lights, electronics and two space heaters. We could not include the house electric heat but that was expected. One concern when overloading is the breaker did not trip, but the unit bogged down and shut off. I would expect the main breaker on the generator to trip before the unit engine overloaded and shutdown.

I bought this in August of 2022. I am pretty proud of myself for picking this model out all on my own. Set it up before hurricane Ian came through but ended up not needing it thank God! If I can figure out how to set this up anyone can! I will update this review if I ever have the need to use it.

I bought this generator about 3 weeks ago to complete my project of being able to power my house whenever there are power outtages. In Michigan, it seems to become more frequent. I owned a Subaru Robin 400 and it was a great machine, but it could not power the whole house, it was heavy as heck, and I had to use a power drill to start it (pull rope broke). I asked around and my buddy suggested getting a Honda, but Honda's are really expensive. The one I wanted to power my home was almost 4K! I looked at the The Predator 8500, and has high ratings, and a "knock off" version of the Honda. So, I researched generators and the Westinghouse kept popping up. I like the easy install, the dual fuel option, and electric start. This bad boy started on the second button push. The 9500DF can power my whole home and nowhere near as loud nor as heavy as my old school Subaru Robin (much respect). Great buy. I am very, very, pleased.l

Thing is a beast.....I bought this for the roaming outages in Northern California. Glad I was one step ahead of everybody. I can run two refrigerators my TV all my lights in the house and my AC. If you're looking for a generator that can handle at all give this one a try. You will not be disappointed. And the features are unbelievable.

Me not being home when the power goes out created a problem for my wife. The addition of this electric start is great and her ability to start it with the remote is fabulous. Now when the power goes out one push and she's up and running. Even came with trickle charger which I thought I was going to have to buy separate.

I just got it. Unpackaged, read some instructions, put the wheels on, added the included oil, hooked up a propane tank, hit the remote start, and it started FIRST TIME! I can't wait to use it, but I know it will be amazing! We have a few freezers with a lot of meat in them, so this should help us save some money in case of power outages!
