I just received this item 6 days ago, so I do not have a lot of confirmed data regarding ratability or longevity, however, straight out of the box I could tell it was a quality product that had numerous features not found on my previous generator that stopped working recently. I love the fact that it is duel fuel capable (gas or LPG), a large 6.6 gallon gasoline tank, all outlets have rubber covers to keep them clean, 3 ways to start (manual rope pull, push button battery start, remote control battery start), multi function data display (voltage/frequency/lifetime hours/run-time maintenance codes), battery charging port for the included trickle charger, and a NEMA 14-30R twist lock receptacle. After attaching the wheels and the rubber "feet" (a 2-person job), adding the oil and gas, I tried starting it with the remote control. It did not start on the 1st try, but it automatically attempted a 2nd start which succeeded. What a joy to NOT have to pull the recoil rope to start!!! The first thing I noticed is that it ran very much quieter than my old one. I ran it for about 1/2 hour, adding various loads to it as suggested in the manual and it handled it with no problem, with hardly a change in the sound/pitch of the generator. I once again have the peace of mind that during the next power outage, I will be very well prepared with this powerful generator.

Received the generator July 6 and hurricane Beryl brought tornados and torrential rain on July 8 to Frierson, La. This generator kept two refrigerators, one freezer, and one small window unit air conditioner going for 12 hours on less than one tank of gas. Simple to use and intuitively designed, i feel that this smart little powerhouse will make the ever increasingly frequent power outages bearable in the unmerciful heat. Most importantly I feel safer just knowing it is here.

We ordered this and received it just before the February 2022 ice storm here. We got the cord and connections hooked up a few days before it hit. Power was only out for a couple days, but it worked flawlessly. It powered our house and well pump with no problems. We did shut off the water heater, because we ran 2 electric heaters.

I bought this as an emergency backup generator for my 4000+sf house. It took a little while to install the proper electrical transfer connections to the house, but that's another story. Once I was ready to hook it up and test it, the generator started right up (after I realized there was a battery disconnect that I had to connect.) It ran my well, furnace and oven as well as the lights and most importantly my TV and sound system. I'm very happy with this generator. My only negative comment would be that it is a little louder than I expected. It sounds like my riding lawnmower before I engage the blades, but once I'm in the house it isn't really noticeable.

bought product online, shipped and received in reasonable time, manual is thourough, minimal setup and easy operation. only used once so far but operated with no issues, started up first try. plan to connect to transfer switch and house electrical panel later this year. seems to meet my needs. all controls clearly identified. good value for size versus cost. would recommend it to friends.

I bought this to power my home in case of power outages due to winter storms. It has all the options that I needed and a remote start to use in inclement weather. It has a small profile with plenty of power and multiple output options. It is quiet and efficient.

I am extremely happy that I decided to go with this generator. Read and watched many reviews online and this one handles my needs and more. Our area has seen multiple power outages almost weekly and this big guy powers everything we need when the power goes out. Love the fact it has a 50 amp outlet. Super easy to setup out of the box. It is a little loud but so are the other generators I have seen. Only issue was the rubber strap to hold the cap for the lp connector was stretched out when opened and won't stay connected to the cap but this doesn't impact the performance of this unit.

It works as advertised. I did purchase ethanol free gas to avoid that issue. Starts right up even with an empty carburetor. Advise: check all connections and nuts and bolts, as the feet weren't on tight. If you use it up against or close to anything, it will trigger the carbon monoxide shut down pretty quick. 5 stars if the bolts hadn't been loose.

Spent weeks researching which make and model generator to buy. Finally decided on Westinghouse WGen9500DF for the features and price. Glad I did, literally put wheels on, serviced, and it started on first attempt. Has ample power to power all my construction tools.

I originally bought a Champion 12,500/15,000 as a backup to power my home in case of an outage. I discovered that my house is pretty energy efficient as it would run my entire house including A/C, oven, stove, dryer, washer, lights, TV, everything simultaneously. I was ecstatic…until I ran a fuel efficiency test. With a 2,000 W load, it ran for 1 hour 15 minutes on one gallon of gas. As I thought about what an outage would be like, I didn't like the thought of burning through 20 gallons of fuel every 24 hours (and that's only with a minimal load). That's 4 gas cans, and gas can be hard to find as I discovered during the winter storms that occurred In February 2021. The Wgen9500DF offers a ton of features that the Champion didn't offer. Most importantly, it's fuel efficiency is unrivaled in the open frame category. That same 2,000 W load should run for 2 hours 45 minutes on the same one gallon of gas. On top of that, you get one touch auto-choke start (champion has manual choke with starter switch), Remote start, dual fuel, a fuel gauge, and a considerably smaller and lighter package. As a plus, this generator arrived undamaged and the battery connection was much simpler to make than it was on the Champion generator. The only 2 things I'm sacrificing are 2,000W less of running/starting watts and the digital load meter. I'm mostly bummed about the lack of load metering but during the Champion testing, normal house was under 30% load so I know this generator has plenty of power to do what I need it to. Setup was fairly simple and moving it to the back yard was much easier than the 300+ lb Champion was. It fired up on the 2nd try and ran smoothly. I still need to hook it up to my 50A transfer switch and break it in, but given the thousands of highly positive reviews this unit has received, I'm confident it will perform flawlessly.
